The Finland international failed to impress at Parkhead after joining the Hoops from German giants Schalke 04 in 2013.
He was farmed out to the Copenhagen side and managed better than he did in Scotland, scoring nine goals as he helped Brondby finish third in the Danish top flight.
The 25-year-old has now been rewarded with a three-year contract by boss Thomas Frank after finishing the season as his top scorer.
Pukki scored on his Hoops debut away to Hearts and also found the net against St Johnstone while making his Parkhead bow back in September 2013.
But despite registering seven goals in his first season in Glasgow, he never came close to justifying the £3million fee former Hoops boss Neil Lennon paid for him.
A spokesman for the Scottish champions said: " Celtic Football Club would like to wish Teemu all the very best and every success at his new club."
