The 23-year-old midfielder was with friends in Newcastle on Sunday reportedly celebrating the birthday of team-mate Aiden McGeady.
McGeady left the group at the city's central station to travel back to Glasgow by car, according to reports.
Police were later called to the station after the group annoyed fellow passengers on a train by swearing and shouting.
The Newcastle-Glasgow train was delayed by several minutes as two of the revellers were removed.
British Transport Police issued a verbal warning to the rest of the men, including Brown.
Onlookers described how the men were singing and chanting before the train pulled into the station.
One said some of the group were breakdancing on the platform.
A BTP spokesman said: "BTP officers attended Newcastle Central Rail station on Sunday, April 5, following a report of a group shouting and swearing on board a train.
"The incident was reported to police at 7.51pm.
"Two members of the group were removed from the train but were not arrested.
"They were given verbal warnings, as were the rest of the group."
A Celtic spokesman said: "We have not received a complaint about Scott Brown or any other player."
