RANGERS HAVE DONE IT! They go level on points with Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership with their first Old Firm victory since 2012!
RANGERS SUB! Flanagan replaces Arfield as the hosts edge closer to their first victory over Celtic in SIX years.
THREE minutes to be added on at Ibrox!
- Yellow cardAndy HallidayRangers
YELLOW CARD! Halliday goes into the book for time wasting.
Rangers have the ball in the corner. There are two minutes of normal time left to play and whatever is added on. The Gers are on the cusp of a famous victory.
HUGE BLOCK! Halliday throws himself in the way of Ntcham's goalbound shot to rescue Rangers. Celtic are piling the pressure on as we enter the final five minutes!
As it stands, second-placed Rangers will go level with Celtic on 42 points, four ahead of Kilmarnock in third. The result would also signal the end of Brendan Rodgers' 12-game unbeaten streak in the Old Firm Derby.
Rangers are looking comfortable, for now. But they still have a bit to do to seal the points here.
Into the last 10 minutes and it's all set up for a fascinating finale. Rangers should be home and hosed by now but they haven't taken their chances. Will Celtic make them pay?
- Yellow cardScott BrownCeltic
YELLOW CARD! Brown, who has looked leggy all afternoon, is a second late on Kent and goes into the book. It's the third yellow card of the day.
Tavenier shoots from the resulting free-kick. He gets it up and over the wall, it takes an awkward bounce in front of Gordon but the Celtic shot-stopper does well to get behind it and make the save.
YELLOW CARD! Kent skips away from Brown but is then fouled by Ajer who goes into the book for his troubles.
Rangers' high-press has caused Celtic nothing but problems today. Morelos has been a real handful and again he picks the ball up in a dangerous area, but his cross is wayward.
- OffDaniel CandeiasRangers
- OnLassana CoulibalyRangers
Morelos steals the ball from Boyata, who is having a stinker. He cuts it back for Arfield but McGregor is back to fulfil his defensive duties for Celtic and makes the block.
RANGERS SUB: Coulibaly comes on for Candeias. It's the home side's first change in personnel today.
McGregor is causing problems for Rangers on the overlap. He is in acres of space to latch onto Forrest's through-pass but his cross is too close to the Rangers goalkeeper who smothers the ball.
CELTIC HAVE A GOAL RULED OUT! A warning sign from the visitors. Christie races forward and slips it through to McGregor who slides it between the legs of his namesake Allan McGregor... but it's not going to count. The Celtic midfielder was inches offside.
A lull in the game, which will suit Celtic. They have stalled Rangers' momentum for now.
Morelos receives the ball inside the box with his back to goal. McGregor is tough-tight to the Rangers forward but he manages to spin away and get a shot at goal, though Gordon always had it covered.
CELTIC SUB: Indeed, Johnston makes way for Edouard. Rodgers has rolled his final dice with 30 minutes still left to play.
Edouard is preparing to come on for Celtic's third and final change, which should bring an end to Johnston's frustrating Old Firm Derby debut.
ANOTHER GREAT SAVE FROM GORDON! Celtic's defenders continue to play at sixes and sevens here. They fail to clear a high ball into the box. It falls to Jack on the edge of the penalty area and he has time to pick his spot. Aiming for the far corner, he side-foots it towards goal but Gordon makes a remarkable save.
GOOD DEFENDING! And it had to be. Tavernier takes the ball to the byline and squares it across goal. Ralston steps in to clear and prevent Kent a tap-in.
This is still a very slender lead for Rangers, despite their total and utter dominance. If they don't go on to win this Gerrard will never forgive his players.
The second-half has started at a fast and furious pace, just as expected. Christie shoots from distance but it's deflected behind for a corner which comes to nothing.
TWO HUGE RANGERS CHANCES! Boyata is robbed of possession by Kent who is through on goal. This is a huge opportunity but Gordon makes a huge save. The loose ball falls to Arfield who sees his shot cleared off the line by Boyata who makes amend for his earlier mistake.
The second-half is underway. No surprise that Celtic have made a change at the break, with Ralston replacing Lustig in defence.
- End of 1st Half
Dominant Rangers lead at the break courtesy of Ryan Jack's goal. Celtic have offered little and need a massive improvement if they are to get anything from this game.
As it stands, Steven Gerrard's side are going level with their arch rivals at the top of the table.
YELLOW CARD! Lustig goes into the book for a foul on Candeias, the first booking of the game!
- OffFilip BenkovicCeltic
- OnKristoffer AjerCeltic
CELTIC SUB: Things go from bad to worse for Rodgers as Benkovic appears to have pulled a hamstring and is forced to go off. Ajer replaces him.
There will be two minutes of added time to play at the end of the first-half.
Celtic work the ball into a dangerous on the right but Tavenier stands up to Sinclair and wins possession cleanly. The Rangers full-back has been excellent in both attack and defence.
Brown misplaces a pass in midfield and his lethargic first-half performance encapsulates Celtic's poor display so far. You don't often see Celtic play as poorly as this.
Sinclair wriggles free inside the box but Tavenier races across to make a crucial sliding challenge. He had to get that right and he did.
Celtic relieve the pressure by winning a corner. It falls to Brown on the edge of the box but his venomous effort is blocked.
SO CLOSE! Kent is pulling the strings for Rangers and his positive first-half performance is almost rewarded with a goal. Again Lustig stands off him, he cuts in from the left and curls a delicious shot from the edge of the box. It goes inches wide but Gordon wasn't getting there.
Rangers continue to play on the front foot and Arfield almost releases Morelos but for a crucial intervention. The home side are winning every second ball, playing with a great intensity and Celtic just haven't came to the party.
Lustig is struggling after an earlier collision. Rodgers may be forced into a change soon.
Rangers haven't lost after opening the scoring this season, winning nine of 12 matches.
I mentioned earlier how important it was that Rangers scored when they were on top and now they have. Now, how will Celtic respond?
- GoalRyan JackRangers
GOAL! Rangers 1-0 Celtic
It's been coming and now the hosts finally have their lead! Jack sends the Ibrox faithful into hysterics! Celtic fail to deal with the pace and direct running of Kent on the left as the winger skips past Lustig at the byline before cutting it back to Jack inside the box. Jack shoots with the side-foot, it takes a deflection off Brown and sneaks past Gordon at his near post.
Celtic have won in each of their last four visits to Ibrox but they aren't having things their way this afternoon. Rodgers's side haven't got going yet.
Celtic launch an attack down the left. Lustig sends in a deep early cross but Tavenier takes it off the toes of Sinclair with a headed clearance.
Another half chance for Rangers sees Morelos trying a first-time half-volley but he doesn't connect properly and it trickles towards the corner flag before Celtic clear it to safety.
Halliday's corner delivery picks out Goldson whose glancing header isn't far wide. How haven't Rangers scored yet?
Celtic are caught cold as Rangers launch a rapid counter-attack, with Morelos leading the charge on the right. He has team mates in the middle but opts to go alone, twisting and turning inside the box to create space for a shot from a wide angle but it takes a nick off a defender and goes out for a corner.
A replay of Candeias's effort a moment ago shows his shot may have come off the hand of McGregor inside the penalty area. You have seen them given...
OFF THE CROSSBAR! Halliday whips in the resulting corner, it comes off the head of Brown and cannons off the woodwork before bouncing to safety.
ANOTHER FINE SAVE FROM GORDON! Oh, what a stop from the Celtic keeper. Goldson's header is goal-bound but somehow the fully-stretched Gordon manages to claw it behind for a corner.
GREAT CHANCE FOR RANGERS! The hosts should be in front! Kent drills a sublime cross into the box, it's flicked on to Candeias in the centre of the penalty area, he ought to score but Gordon makes a wonderful reaction save.
Lustig makes a really important challenge on Morelos on the edge of the box and the Rangers forward stays down for a moment before gathering himself to his feet.
Celtic deal with the latest corner but Rangers are enjoying a great spell in the game. Against a team of Celtic's quality, the Gers need to make their pressure count.
With Tierney absent for Celtic today, Rangers have clearly identified the wide areas as the visitors' weakness. They form another attack down the right with Tavenier delivering the cross this time but Boyata rises highest to head behind for another corner.
Two quick-fire corners from Rangers come to nothing but Gerrard will be impressed with the start his side have made.
Encouraging signs from Rangers as they pile men forward inside the box to contest Candeias' cross but it lands on a Celtic head. Rangers have a corner now.
SAVE! McGregor called into action for the first time this afternoon in the Rangers goal. Johnston, a surprise inclusion today, flicks it on for Forrest whose shot from the edge of the box is well struck but comfortable enough for the home side's stop-stopper.
McGregor is fouled by Tavenier on the left flank and Celtic have a dangerous free-kick now. Christie swings it in but Tavenier makes amends with his clearance.
All eyes on the controversial Morelos today and he escapes the referee's attention after a needless kick out at nemesis Brown.
OLD-SCHOOL TACKLE! Halliday flies into a 50/50 with Ntcham, cleanly winning the ball - and the home supporters love it.
Rangers have had the early possession.
KICK-OFF! Rangers get the ball rolling.
A minute's silence is held to remember those who died in the Ibrox Disaster in January 1971.
Wow, what an atmosphere at Ibrox. It is heating up in Glasgow as kick-off approaches!
With only three points separating the sides at the top of the table - although Celtic have played a game fewer - there hasn't been a bigger match between the sides in recent years. A Rangers win and the title race is wide open; if Celtic get the points then it's virtually story over.
Rodgers has won 10 of 12 Old Firm Derby matches, drawing two, with his side scoring an eye-watering 31 goals and conceding just six. It's an incredible record but can Rangers take the bragging rights today?
Head-to-head: Rangers' ongoing 10-match winless streak against Celtic in the Scottish Premiership is their longest ever run without a victory in the Old Firm league derbies (D2 L8).
Only 750 Celtic fans will be present at Ibrox this afternoon and Rodgers has warned Rangers that restricting their travelling support may not work to their advantage.
"My feeling always is that it is better in both grounds whenever both sets of supporters are there.
"It can work for you and against you as the home side in that situation."
Aberdeen are the only side to have won at Ibrox during Gerrard's reign and the former Liverpool skipper wants his team to end the year on a high.
"It's the last fixture, there's 90 minutes to go empty for it and give everything you've got. Let's see where it takes us.
"We've certainly got respect for the opposition but what a fantastic opportunity for the players to go try to get the result we need."
DOUBLE CHANGE FOR CELTIC
There are two changes to the visitors' line-up too, with young striker Michael Johnston and Olivier Ntcham restored to the side. They take the place of Emilio Izaguirre and Tom Rogic respectively.
TWO CHANGES FOR RANGERS
Scott Arfield and Ryan Kent come into the starting XI, as Gerrard makes two changes from the side that drew with Hibs on Boxing Day. Lassana Coulibaly and Glenn Middleton drop to the bench.
Rangers are also boosted by the inclusion of defender Connor Goldson who passed a late fitness test.
