The Italy international of Argentine descent is not part of Walter Mazzarri’s plans and was left behind for their American pre-season tour.
According to Sky Sports, Fulham and Crystal Palace are now joining the chase for the former Atalanta winger.
He only joined the Nerazzurri in January for €6million (£5m), but struggled to make an impact and has now been frozen out completely.
Other sides linked with the 24-year-old include Sassuolo, Chievo, Porto and Atletico Madrid.
Schelotto would be available on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
Juventus have told Mauricio Isla that he is staying in Turin, but his agent refuses to rule out a move to Inter.
Inter had reportedly agreed a deal with the Turin club to sign their 50 per cent share in the player who is co-owned with Udinese.
However, the transfer collapsed after Juve boss Antonio Conte told club officials that he would like him kept for 2013-14.
“Juventus want to count on the player,” agent Claudio Vagheggi said on Sport Italia. “Conte has said that he likes Isla and so, for now, my client will remain in Bianconero.
“However, as is often said at this time of year, you never know what will happen during the transfer window.”
Isla, 25, was used in just 11 League games last season on his return to full fitness from knee ligament damage.
Marek Hamsik will stay in Napoli for 'years to come,' according to his agent.
After Ezequiel Lavezzi and Edinson Cavani left for Paris Saint-Germain over the last two summer transfer windows, the Slovakian has no desire to go and ply his trade elsewhere.
“The boy is happy to play for Napoli and he will remain with the Azzurri for many more years to come,” Juraj Vengelos told Radio CRC.
“He’s married the project here by renewing his contract and he knows that the team continues to grow year by year.
“They are now back in the Champions League and he’s very happy about that.”
Hamsik, now tied to the outfit until June 2018, will be surrounded by a host of new players after a busy summer of transfers in Naples.
“The squad has been reinforced with a lot of players from abroad, but it won’t be easy,” the agent continued.
“But Marek is happy with new boss Rafael Benitez and there is already a good understanding with Gonzalo Higuain.”
Benitez has replaced the Inter-bound Walter Mazzarri, while the Argentine striker has arrived from Real Madrid.
And according to reports in Italy, the agent of Lazio goalkeeper Albano Bizzarri has ruled out the possibility of a summer move to Genoa.
“There was an important offer from Genoa a few weeks ago, but nothing could be agreed because Lazio were struggling to find a new reserve goalkeeper,” Matteo Materazzi told Radio Sei.
“Now Genoa no longer have the same need. I can exclude them as an option, their President Enrico Preziosi has said that as well.
“Other sides have come forward, but everything is on stand-by right now. We’re close to the start of the season so, if anything happens, it will take place in the last week of the window.”
Bizzarri has been in the Italian capital since his June 2009 switch from Catania, but he’s presently a back-up to Federico Marchetti.
“Albano doesn’t want to end his career as a second-choice, that’s why he wants to move,” Materazzi added of the 35-year-old. “Otherwise he would have no problem in remaining where he is.”
Sampdoria and Chievo are known to be considering a swoop for the Argentine.
