Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis airlifted to safety from burning yacht

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis was airlifted to safety after his yacht caught fire off the coast of Naples on Sunday.

The film producer was part of a 12-strong group rescued by helicopter just hours before Napoli’s clash against Lazio in Serie A at Stadio San Paolo.
De Laurentiis had been expected to attend the game.
“Fortunately it all went well. I don’t know what happened, perhaps a short-circuit,” De Laurentiis told reporters.
“Were we frightened? Anyone in our position would have been.”
Incidentally, the burning boat was captured on film (viewable in the link below) by former Italy captain Fabio Cannavaro, who was reportedly unaware it belonged to De Laurentiis.
