Paul Pogba will return to Juventus to train with the Turin club on Monday, according to manager Massimiliano Allegri.
Contrary to reports in the UK media on Saturday morning, Pogba will not fly from his holidays in the USA to Manchester to complete a world record £110m transfer to Jose Mourinho's United with Juve adamant that the France midfielder remains their player.
The Independent had earlier reported that "Pogba’s projected world record transfer to Manchester United could go through as early as Sunday after plans were put in place for the Juventus midfielder to fly to England for a medical and to finalise terms."
But speculation that Juventus' £75m signing of Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli had paved the way for Pogba to return to United four years after leaving them for around £800,000 in a compensation fee, it appears that the deal of the summer is still a long way from complete.
"It makes no sense at the moment talking about potential replacements for Pogba because, right now, Pogba is a Juventus player," said Allegri.
"I've summoned Pogba together with (Patrice) Evra tomorrow night.
"So that means he has training here in Vinovo on Monday."
Juventus are in London to face West Ham in a friendly at the Olympic Stadium on Sunday while elsewhere in the UK capital, United contest the Community Shield with Leicester at Wembley Stadium.
The Italian champions begin the defence of their Serie A title at Roma on August 20 with Pogba apparently not certain to be leaving Turin.
