Juventus and Atalanta played out a thrilling 3-3 draw in Turin on Sunday in the first match since the 36-time Italian champions were handed a 15-point deduction following a financial investigation. Ademola Lookman struck twice for Atalanta either side of a Joakim Maehle goal, while an Angel Di Maria penalty, Arkadiusz Milik finish and Danilo free-kick kept Juve in it.

A drilled free-kick from Danilo rescued Juventus a point against Atalanta in a highly entertaining 3-3 draw in Turin.
Two goals from Ademola Lookman either side of a Joakim Maehle finish looked set to hand Atalanta their third consecutive Serie A win, but they were denied victory by the hosts who are feeling the effects of a 15 point deduction handed to them on Friday.
A point for the Bianconeri sees Massimiliano Allegri's side move up into ninth on 23 points.
Atalanta, meanwhile, leapfrog Lazio into fifth on 35 points; two points off the Champions League spots.
The Serie A anthem was met by a chorus of boos from the Juve fans inside a half full Allianz Stadium in response to the deduction handed to the 36-time domestic champions.
When the game did begin Lookman gave Atalanta a surprise lead in the fifth minute. His powerful strike towards the near post squirmed through the arms of Wojciech Szczesny into the net.
Juve were not demoralised by Lookman's goal, though, and they won a penalty after a VAR review when Nicolo Fagioli was brought down in the box by Ederson. World Cup winner Di Maria converted the spot-kick, sending goalkeeper Juan Musso the wrong way.
With momentum on Juve's side, the hosts went in front in the 34th minute thanks to a fine team move finished off by Milik. Di Maria's backheel found Fagioli on the right flank and his cross found the Pole, who showed sublime technique to strike his first-time volley into the bottom corner.
Atalanta turned the game around in the opening minutes of the second half. Maehle met an incisive Lookman pass to equalise for the visitors seconds after the restart, before a brilliant header from the former Charlton and Everton forward to meet Jeremie Boga's cross restored Atalanta's lead in the 52nd minute.
Juve levelled again in the 65th minute through Danilo when a rehearsed free-kick paid off. The former Manchester City defender drilled Di Maria's backheel into the bottom corner. Substitute Fabio Miretti had a great chance to score the winner late on but his shot deflected off Marten de Roon into the grateful arms of Musso.

TALKING POINT - A long road ahead for Juventus

The Juventus players still showed great fight against a dangerous Atalanta side, despite coming off a 5-1 loss to league leaders Napoli last weekend and the news they would have to try and claw back the 15 points they were deducted on Friday.
The mission for Juve now will be to try and get back into the Champions League picture. They currently trail fourth-placed Roma by 14 points, but with Federico Chiesa back playing and Paul Pogba's return imminent, a quick rise up the table with a fully fit starting XI is not out of the question.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH - Ademola Lookman

Two goals and an assist for the Nigeria international who is enjoying the most prolific season of his career with 11 Serie A goals this campaign.
His second goal of the night in particular was the highlight; a well-executed header into the corner of the net.
