Rampant Juventus get off to a flyer in Serie A with a 3-0 win against Udinese.
Massimiliano Allegri’s side got off to the ideal start in Udine, with Federico Chiesa drilling home into the bottom corner inside two minutes.
Juventus looked like a team with a point to prove and continued to launch assault after assault on the Udinese defence.
The Bianconeri were awarded a penalty after 19 minutes following a Christian Kabasele handball. Dusan Vlahovic stepped up to coolly slot home past Marco Silvestri.
Juventus added a third in stoppage time at the end of the first half when debutant Andrea Cambiaso fired a deep cross into the box which was headed home by Adrien Rabiot.
Lazar Samardzic was introduced at half time by Andrea Sottil and he made a difference for his side, getting into attacking areas and trying to make things happen. The 21-year-old came close to pulling one back for Udinese in the 64th minute but saw his vicious effort from distance saved well by Wojciech Szczesny.
Udinese continued to move the ball well as they looked for a way back into the match but just couldn’t breach the Bianconeri back line.
Vlahovic had the ball in the back of the net for what would have been Juventus' fourth but it was ruled out for offside in the build-up.

TALKING POINT - REFRESHED AND RESURGENT

Juventus started their Serie A campaign in the perfect way. The Bianconeri are playing their first season without European football since 2011/12 and it could prove to be a blessing in disguise for the club. After the drama of a points deduction last season causing them to finish seventh, Allegri's men will want to put their best foot forward and have a really strong Serie A campaign this season and they showed that on the pitch at Udinese. Juventus were bright, refreshed and energetic and played like a team on a mission. Four different Serie A winners in the last four years proves that this is an open championship and Juventus will feel like if they can stay relatively injury-free, they could be in that race come the end of the season.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH - ANDREA CAMBIASO (JUVENTUS)

Andrea Cambiaso was fantastic on what was his Juventus debut. The 23-year-old gave Juventus a youthful energy down the left-hand side, bombing forward into good crossing positions and linking up well with Chiesa. He provided the assist for Rabiot's goal on the stroke of half time, the goal that effectively killed off the match as a contest. Juventus fans will be very pleased with Cambiaso's first game for the club and will be hoping there is more of the same to come from the ex Genoa man.
