Sharps makes Bucks switch

Burton defender Ian Sharps has joined Telford on loan for the rest of the season.

Sharps was placed on the transfer list towards the end of December and was quickly linked with a move to the Brewers' Sky Bet League Two rivals Mansfield, but a deal failed to materialise.

The 34-year-old will now spend the remaining few months of his contract at Albion with Telford, who are fighting relegation from the Vanarama Conference.

Sharps joined Burton in 2013 after a successful loan spell. He has made 134 appearances for the club, scoring one goal.
