Joao Pedro scored a hat-trick as Brighton & Hove Albion beat Sheffield United 5-2 in a thrilling FA Cup fourth-round tie at Bramall Lane.
Facundo Buonanotte gave the visitors the lead in the early stages when he showed some tricky footwork before rifling an effort into the top-right corner from 25 yards out.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side doubled their lead when Pedro had his heels clipped in the box by Jayden Bogle. The Brazilian stepped up to dispatch his first of the day and double The Seagulls’ lead.
On the stroke of half-time, Gustavo Hamer sparked a fightback from the hosts when Bart Verbruggen’s attempted clearance fell perfectly into the path of the midfielder who slotted home.
United equalised deep into added time at the end of the first half when William Osula headed home Bogle's fantastic delivery.
Brighton recovered their lead seven minutes into the second half when Pedro scored his second spot-kick of the day after Bogle handled the ball with an outstretched arm.
The visitors booked their place in the fifth round when Pedro was given far too much space to wrap up his hat-trick and score Brighton’s fourth, firing a low effort into the bottom corner.
Danny Welbeck added a fifth late on as Brighton rubber-stamped an empathic victory on the road.

Luton beat Everton in the dying seconds

Cauley Woodrow scored in the 96th minute to snatch victory for Luton Town as Rob Edwards’ side beat Everton 2-1 at Goodison Park.
The away side started fast and sent three early efforts over the bar before Everton were handed their first chance of the game through Beto, who guided a low shot wide.
Both sides had golden chances to break the deadlock. Elijah Adebayo headed wide from close range before Beto was brilliantly denied by a perfectly timed Teden Mengi tackle.
The deadlock was finally broken when Vitaliy Mykolenko turned Reece Burke’s header from a corner into the net at the front post to gift Luton the lead.
After the break, Carlton Morris came close to doubling The Hatters’ lead but Joao Virginia produced a stunning reaction save to palm his header away.
Luton would rue the missed chance when Tim Krul fumbled Jack Harrison’s lacklustre effort from the edge of the box, which trickled under the Dutch goalkeeper and over the line.
With the tie heading for a replay at Kenilworth Road, Luton sent in a corner in the final seconds and after the ball popped around the goalmouth, Woodrow was in the right place at the right time to stab the ball into the net and seal their place in the next round.

Newcastle ease past Fulham

Newcastle United moved into the fifth round of the FA Cup for the second time in 18 years with a 2-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
Sean Longstaff and Dan Burn were on target for Eddie Howe’s side in West London as The Magpies bid to end a 69-year wait for a domestic trophy.

Leicester see off Birmingham, Leeds and Plymouth draw

Leicester City made light work of Birmingham City to move into the next round with a 3-0 win, despite Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s absence with a move away increasingly likely.
Enzo Maresca’s side found themselves fortunate to go into the break with the game goalless after Birmingham squandered several first-half chances.

However, it only took Leicester two minutes to find the target in the second half when Jamie Vardy pounced to put The Foxes ahead, converting Marc Albrighton’s cross.
Vardy thought he had a second when he rounded John Ruddy and slipped the ball into an empty net, but the English talisman was ruled offside.
Leicester had one foot into the next round when Yunus Akgun doubled their lead, before Dennis Praet scored late on to put the game to bed.
Elsewhere, Plymouth Argyle forced a replay out of Leeds United when Adam Randell cancelled out Jaidon Anthony’s opener as the game finished 1-1.
