Liverpool marked their first match since Jurgen Klopp's bombshell announcement with a 5-2 win over Norwich City in the FA Cup. Curtis Jones, Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, Virgil van Dijk and Ryan Gravenberch were all on target for the hosts, who will soon be on the hunt for a new manager after Klopp announced he will leave at the end of the season. Watford or Southampton await the Reds in round five.

‘I will sleep better now Jurgen is leaving' – Guardiola on ‘best rival’ Klopp

Liverpool are through to the fifth round of the FA Cup after beating a spirited Norwich 5-2 with a dominant display in front of an emotional Anfield.
In their first match since Jurgen Klopp , the home fans were in full voice, awash with banners celebrating the German's many achievements.
And true to Klopp's unrelenting style, Liverpool pressed the Canaries from the off, forcing an opener after 15 minutes as Curtis Jones volleyed home James McConnell's cross.
Norwich grabbed an equaliser just six minutes later as Ben Gibson shouldered home a Gabriel Sara corner, but Liverpool restored their lead in no time as Darwin Nunez swept home inside the box.
After the interval, Dioga Jota got in on the act after capitalising on a wayward header from Gibson, before substitute Virgil van Dijk made it four with a bullet header.
Norwich substitute Borja Sainz pulled one back with a brilliant long-range strike to give them a glimpse of hope, but they couldn't reel in a Reds side that looked full of confidence and energy in front of their outgoing boss, with Ryan Gravenberch rounding off a fine display with a fifth goal in injury time.
Liverpool will play either Watford or Southampton in the fifth round, with a replay required to separate those two sides after a 1-1 draw earlier on Sunday.

Man of the match - Diogo Jota (Liverpool)

Barely a moment of peace from the little Portuguese. He was a cut above the rest and was far too hot to handle for a Norwich side that could barely get out of their own third at times. Jota punished them at every opportunity.

Talking point - Reds full of form after Klopp shock

Perhaps it's no surprise that Liverpool put in a brilliant, high-energy, attacking display just two days after Jurgen Klopp - a brilliant, high-energy, attacking manager - announced he was set to depart the club.
This felt like a tribute performance to the best of Klopp. A side full of young talent, going gung-ho at times, gegenpressing their opponents, with a little defensive frailty thrown in for good measure. In short, it was a great game. Klopp takes another step forward towards a trophy that his exit would more than deserve. And they could yet win four...

Match highlights

16 - GOAL! Liverpool 1-0 Norwich (Jones): Liverpool have the lead they deserve, and it's McConnell with the assist on his first start! The youngster picks it up 30 yards out and just bends a pinpoint ball into the box for Jones to head in at the back post. A long afternoon ahead for Norwich...
22' - GOAL! Liverpool 1-1 Norwich (Gibson): Norwich are level! Wow. Against the run of play! Liverpool had everyone back to defend that corner but Gibson still manages to get a shoulder on the ball and put it past Alisson. That's all it takes, a set-piece. It's the magic of the cup!
28' - GOAL! Liverpool 2-1 Norwich (Nunez): Lead restored! And it's that man Nunez! Norwich create their own problems here as McCallum loses possession inside his own half. Suddenly Liverpool are four on two and Bradley sprints through, picks out Nunez, who strikes home.

53' - GOAL! Liverpool 3-1 Norwich (Jota): Game over? Gibson gets himself in a muddle and Jota pounces on a loose ball. Bang, right corner! Jota has threatened all afternoon and he doesn't miss from there. Liverpool have a third and that might be curtains for Norwich.
63' - GOAL! Liverpool 4-1 Norwich (Van Dijk): The substitute grabs a fourth, and that really is game over. Szoboszlai pings in a corner and Van Dijk meets it with a trademark bullet header.
69' - GOAL! Liverpool 4-2 Norwich (Sainz): Wait a second... What a goal this is from Sainz! The substitute picks it up in the middle of the park, in acres of space, takes a touch, and whacks one past Alisson. It's a brilliant goal but they gave him so much time there. He's still a professional footballer, guys!
90+5' - GOAL! Liverpool 5-2 Norwich (Gravenberch): That's just mean. Liverpool grab a fifth at the very end through Ryan Gravenberch who pings another header past Long. Tough day for the keeper.
