Jude Bellingham could soon reject a contract offer from Borussia Dortmund and leave for Liverpool, Manchester City, United or Real Madrid, while Facundo Pellistri has offers to leave Old Trafford and Eduardo Camavinga will not leave on loan to Arsenal. Elsewhere, Newcastle midfielder Jonjo Shelvey could join Turkish side Besiktas on loan for the rest of the season.

Bellingham bidding war may begin

Jude Bellingham will soon start talks with Borussia Dortmund over the prospect of signing a new contract worth £180,000 a week, doubling his salary. However the Sun reports that the 19-year-old midfielder is expected to turn down the deal and kickstart concrete interest from Manchester City, United, Liverpool and Real Madrid, who could be sold for more than £100 million.
Paper Round’s view: Bellingham could likely earn £300,000 a week if he moves this summer so Dortmund’s offer is unlikely to turn his head. For City and Real, they can offer almost guaranteed major trophies in most seasons, while Liverpool and United will now have to offer the chance to be part of a rebuild at a side that carries with them huge reputations across the world.

Pellistri has options to leave

The Mirror reports that Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri could leave this January, though Erik ten Hag does not want to weaken his squad. The Uruguayan has made just one appearance for United, and La Liga side Valencia are believed to want the player on loan for the rest of the season. Another option would be a permanent move to Flamengo in Brazil.
Paper Round’s view: At 21, Pellistri cannot afford to spend much more time on the sidelines after a couple of years with United has seen him barely feature. With international experience he has the talent that needs to be developed, and a switch to Valencia would give him more European experience, while Flamengo would offer more stability if he decides to leave for good.

Camavinga will not join Arsenal

Recent reports had suggested that Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga was wanted on loan by Arsenal, but Spanish newspaper Marca believes that Real have no intention of letting the 20-year-old develop away from them. The French midfielder is seen as having too much potential, and Carlo Ancelotti compared him to two other prominent midfielders, saying: "He is untouchable, like Kroos and Modric.”
Paper Round’s view: Toni Kroos and Luka Modric are the two most experienced midfielders at Real Madrid and while Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni are expected to be the long-term future midfielders for the capital club, both the older players are potentially going to stay for at least one more season. Better for Camavinga, perhaps, for him to play less than he would at Arsenal but be able to learn from them.

Shelvey set for Newcastle exit

Jonjo Shelvey is out of contract at Newcastle United at the end of the season but the Mail reports that he could leave the club before then. He looks set to join Turkish side Besiktas on loan for the rest of the season, where he could link up with Dele Alli. Besiktas could bring the 30-year-old midfielder to the club but they would reportedly prefer to cancel Alli’s deal and send him back.
Paper Round’s view: Shelvey may play a little further back on the pitch than Alli, but although he has struggled a little for fitness and minutes this season under Eddie Howe at Newcastle, he is suffering far less than Alli. It remains unclear what has happened to him in the last few years but even time away from London seems to have done little to help his poor form.
