Tuesday’s Paper Round leads on Neymar, who is the subject of interest for several Premier League clubs and in particular Manchester United. Elsewhere, Manchester City are reportedly looking to hijack Liverpool’s move for Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, Arsenal are weighing up alternatives to Declan Rice, and David Moyes wants a Manchester United defender to boost his options next season.

Man Utd’s Neymar talks

Manchester United have initiated talks with Paris Saint-Germain over the possibility of signing Neymar this summer, L’Equipe reports. The French newspaper claims several Premier League clubs have held discussions, and “in particular” Manchester United. Earlier this year some PSG fans were captured outside the Brazilian’s house demanding for the player to leave their club, while it could also be a summer where Lionel Messi leaves with his contract running out and a renewal unlikely after his recent suspension.
On Neymar, L’Equipe writes: “This will be one of the hot issues of the PSG off-season… The capital club would not oppose, under certain conditions, the departure of Neymar this summer.
“PSG are not a selling club, but in fact, for once, the various internal components are on the same line for this. For some, it would be a question of ratifying the evolution of the project towards less flash and more discipline, for others of building a more balanced team around a single star, namely Kylian Mbappe.”

Man City want Mac Allister

Manchester City could rival Liverpool for the signature of Alexis Mac Allister this summer, the Mirror reports. A deal was said to have been agreed between Liverpool and Brighton for the Argentine midfielder, but Pep Guardiola is reportedly an admirer of the World Cup winner and would view him as an ideal replacement should Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva leave the Premier League champions this summer.

The Mirror adds: “Guardiola and City sporting director Txiki Begiristain have drawn up a list of summer targets, with the champions keen to move early once the transfer window opens on June 13.
“That list includes Mac Allister, 24, and Julio Enciso, 19, as well as Bayern Munich's versatile midfielder Joshua Kimmich, 28, and RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol, 21, with Aymeric Laporte potentially on his way.”

If not Rice, then…

Real Sociedad's Martin Zubimendi, Ruben Neves of Wolves and Brighton's Moises Caicedo are on Arsenal’s radar should they be priced out of a move for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, the Daily Mail reports. Arsenal are expected to make a structured £90m offer for the England international soon, but amid fears the Hammers want more than £100m for their star player, the Gunners may have to look elsewhere.
The Mail adds: “Arsenal held talks about Zubimendi in January but he didn't wish to leave with Sociedad doing so well, despite the Gunners being prepared to pay his £53m release clause.
“Wolves want £45m for Ruben Neves who is seeking Champions League football, though the Molineux club would rather sell abroad.
“Mikel Arteta's side meanwhile failed in their efforts to sign Caicedo from Brighton in January, after the Seagulls rejected a £70m offer.”

West Ham want AWB

West Ham boss David Moyes is eager to sign Manchester United full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer, the Daily Mail reports. West Ham eventually improved to escape the relegation scrap this season and now have a Europa Conference League final to look forward to, but Moyes is keen to bolster his defensive options after conceding 53 goals in their 37 league matches.
The Mail adds: “Wan-Bissaka faces a potentially decisive summer with his United contract expiring at the end of next season. Mail Sport reported last month that Man United have not ruled out extending Wan-Bissaka's deal.
“The full-back is also of interest to Crystal Palace, who could look to bring the defender back to the club after selling him to United for £50million back in 2019.”
