Arsenal hope to sign Kai Havertz, but Chelsea's valuation could be too high. Manchester United, meanwhile, have been given encouragement over both Axel Disasi and Rasmus Hojlund, while Porto's Diogo Costa and Napoli's Kim Min-jae are also targets for the summer. There are also rumours that there could be a return to Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain striker Neymar.

Chelsea face Havertz compromise

The Sun thinks that Chelsea may have to reduce their expectations as they look to sell Kai Havertz this summer.
Real Madrid are keen, but Arsenal have emerged as potential suitors.
“The forward has been linked with a transfer this summer as he only has two years remaining on his contract,” the paper writes.
“Real Madrid are reportedly eyeing Havertz and it is believed the German would be open to a move.
“However potential suitors have reportedly been put off by Chelsea's £70 million asking price.
“But they could be forced to reduce their valuation with Arsenal said to be unwilling to pay more than £50 million.”

United could move for Kim and Hojlund

The Mirror claims that Manchester United have been given encouragement by both Atalanta forward Rasmus Hojlund and Monaco defender Axel Disasi that they want to join.
There are other areas to be added too, the paper explains: “United boss Erik ten Hag is intent on strengthening all areas of his squad this summer with the club pushing for the transfer of Chelsea’s Mason Mount. He is aware that Chelsea want to sell him this summer and he has expressed a preference for joining United in that instance.
“United are emerging as favourites to sign Hojlund this summer and are showing the strongest interest. It is believed that a bid of £43 million (€50m) would be enough to sign the striker, with Sky Sports reporting that The Red Devils are poised to formalise their interest in the player.
"It is also known that Monaco defender and France international Disasi, who featured in the World Cup final, has also made United aware of his desire to move to the club. Disasi is on United’s shortlist for defensive improvement, along with Napoli defender Kim Min-jae.
“The South Korean international has a £43 million release clause in his contract that does not become active until July and Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on his signing. United want to sign a defender this summer but they are prioritising the signing of at least one striker and Mount, meaning that their budget for a defender remains unknown at this stage.”

United keen on Costa deal

The Daily Mail reports that Manchester United could make a move to sign Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa.
The 23-year-old has a release clause which could be activated as they look to replace David de Gea.
“Portugal's first-choice stopper has been linked with United for some time now but attempted to play down the reports last week,” the report states.
“Current No. 1 at Old Trafford David de Gea won the Golden Glove with a Premier League high 17 clean sheets, while data shows that he was just the 10th best in between the sticks in the 2022-23 season.
“It has previously been reported that United, who are still stalling on signing off on a new deal for David de Gea, would be willing to pay Costa's £65m release clause.”

Neymar emerges as Barcelona option

After leaving Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain in dramatic circumstances years ago, Spanish newspaper Marca reports that Neymar could be in line for a return to Spain.
The paper reports: “With Leo Messi no longer an option, Barcelona could explore the one that leads to another old acquaintance - Neymar.
“Now that Messi is off to Inter Miami in MLS, the Catalan club are already working on the idea of recruiting another key player.
"'Xavi had spoken to Leo and believed he would be an important part of the team's attacking play. Now it's clear that he will be looking for a player with a difference up front to help [Ousmane] Dembele, Raphinha and [Robert] Lewandowski. And who can score goals,’ sources close to the club say.
“And although it sounds incredible, the chosen one could be Neymar. In fact, the Brazilian has already given his approval to the possibility of returning to a club where he performed well between 2013 and 2017 (105 goals and 76 assists in 186 official matches), but which he ended up leaving through the back door to join Paris Saint-Germain.”
