Borussia Dortmund could make room in their squad for the return of Jadon Sancho from Manchester United, while the Swedish international team could appoint former Chelsea boss Graham Potter as coach. Elsewhere, Inter Miami edge closer to signing Luis Suarez from Brazilian side Gremio, and Championship strugglers Sheffield Wednesday were able to pay off their HMRC debt.

Dortmund open space to sign Sancho

Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund could make room in their squad to re-sign Jadon Sancho as he looks no closer to a first-team return at Manchester United.
“Borussia Dortmund are set to let English wonderkid Jamie Bynoe-Gittens out on loan to make way for a Jadon Sancho return,” reports The Sun.
“The Manchester United outcast has been frozen out of the first team after a social media bust-up with manager Erik ten Hag.
“United are open to a permanent deal but a loan seems to be the most likely option for the winger.
“But Sancho's staggering £350,000 weekly wage could stand in Dortmund's way.
“The Englishman would have to agree to a salary cut to help seal a move back to Germany.”

Potter linked to Sweden job

Former Chelsea manager Graham Potter may not get the chance to take over at Manchester United, as he could be given the opportunity to manage the Swedish national team.
The Mirror explains: “Graham Potter is in the mix to become Sweden's new national team manager - less than a fortnight after he was touted as becoming Erik ten Hag's replacement at Manchester United.
“The 48-year-old has been out of work since being sacked from Chelsea back in April. Potter won 12 of his 31 matches in charge at Stamford Bridge and was dismissed following the Blues' 2-0 defeat against Aston Villa.
“Now, Potter has emerged as one of the frontrunners to take over as the Sweden national team boss after Janne Anderson stepped down. His resignation came as Sweden's failed to qualify for Euro 2024, with Belgium and Austria comfortably progressing from Group F.
“Potter is familiar with the Swedish game, having spent seven-and-a-half years at Ostersund, where he helped them progress from the fourth tier and into the Europa League. But Potter could be set for a return to the country after Sweden FA general secretary Andrea Mllerberg confirmed he is [in] the running for the job.”

Inter Miami close in on Suarez deal

Inter Miami are set to sign Luis Suarez in the coming months, according to the Daily Mail.
The paper writes: ”Inter Miami's pursuit of Luis Suarez may come into fruition before 2024.
“Suarez, 36, acknowledged that the MLS side contacted his Porto Alegre-based club in the middle of the year. Emails have been exchanged between Miami and Gremio discussing a one-year deal for Suarez with an option to extend, per the latest report.
“Suarez is scheduled to visit Miami in December to discuss contractual details with the club.
“Meanwhile, the Herons have already released star forward - Josef Martinez - making room for Suarez in the roster. “

Wednesday manage to pay debt

Championship strugglers Sheffield Wednesday were reportedly able to pay off a debt with the taxman.
“Sheffield Wednesday owner Dejphon Chansiri has cleared the club’s £2 million debt with HMRC after initially insisting the matter would be resolved by supporters each paying £100,” The Telegraph states.
“The Championship’s bottom club were placed under registration embargo by the EFL over the money owed, with Chansiri giving an interview to the Sheffield Star newspaper where he suggested 20,000 fans donating would solve their problem.
“However, he revealed that he had received overdue funds that allowed him to pay the debt and that “our players and staff have been paid their salaries in full”, with their embargo now lifted.”
