Newcastle could lose Bruno Guimaraes to Barcelona for £60 million, according to reports, while former Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho reportedly wants a reunion with Eric Dier and is keen to bring the defender to Roma. Arsenal are leading the race to sign Royal Antwerp midfielder Arthur Vermeeren, who has been dubbed the "next Andres Iniesta", and Scott McTominay isn't leaving Manchester United.

Guimaraes has 'secret' Barca clause

Bruno Guimaraes has a secret clause in his Newcastle contract that would allow him to join Barcelona at a “lower price”, according to a report in the Mail.
The midfielder has recently agreed a five-year extension at the club with a release clause which is said to be £100 million.
“However, according to Sport in Spain, a clause would allow him to sign for Barcelona for around the £60m mark,” reads the article in the Mail.
“Guimaraes, 25, has apparently given 'several nods' to the Nou Camp club in the past, Sport say, but their current financial predicament means a move is unlikely in the short-term.
“However, the report suggests there is a release-clause price for Guimaraes and a cheaper one just for Barcelona.
“Guimaraes is content at St James' Park though and he was happy to sign the long-term contract extension that protects his valuation.”

Mourinho wants reunion with Dier

Former Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho reportedly wants a reunion with Eric Dier and is keen to bring the defender to Roma.
Dier has yet to make an appearance for Spurs under Ange Postecoglou this season, fuelling speculation about his future.
“According to Tuttosport, Mourinho is looking to improve his defence and has identified Dier as his first-choice target in that regard,” the Mail writes.
It adds: “Mourinho has often been renowned for having teams that are defensively resilient, but Roma have already conceded 12 times in the league this season.
“Dier was linked with a move away from Tottenham in the closing stages of the transfer window but ended up staying at the club.”

Arsenal leading race to sign 'next Iniesta'

Arsenal are leading the race to sign Royal Antwerp midfielder Arthur Vermeeren, who has been dubbed the "next Andres Iniesta".
The 18-year-old has been linked with a move to Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester United as well as La Liga champions Barcelona.
"According to Sport, the North Londoners are currently heading the race for the Belgium international's signature," the Sun reports.
"And it is thought Arsenal could land Vermeeren for a bargain £17 million in the January transfer window.
"Manager Mikel Arteta is facing the prospect of losing Jorginho in the New Year with Barcelona expressing interest.
"Barca are also keeping tabs on Vermeeren in their bid to find someone to continue club legend Iniesta's work in the middle of the park at the Nou Camp.
"However, the Blaugrana have been marred by financial trouble and could instead turn to Corinthians ace Gabriel Moscardo."

McTominay going nowhere

Erik ten Hag has no interest in allowing Scott McTominay to leave Manchester United in January.
That's according to the Daily Star, which claims the Scotland international has "become too important for Reds boss Ten Hag to lose - even though the club tried to sell him in the summer".
The article continues: "West Ham were close to clinching a £50 million deal for McTominay, who also attracted interest from Newcastle.
"But the Scotland star has impressed his club boss in training and also through his commitment to United. Ten Hag also feels he can’t afford to lose another body from what has been an injury-hit squad this season."
