Real Madrid have reached an agreement to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham in a deal worth over €100m (£86m).
According to The Athletic, Bellingham, 19, will undergo a medical with the Spanish club in the coming days.
The news was confirmed by Dortmund on Wednesday afternoon in slightly unusual fashion.
In an "ad-hoc" statement the club said that a fee up front of €103m had been agreed with Real Madrid with a possibility for a further €30m in add-ons.
However the club did confirm that the deal wasn't quite officially complete yet as Bellingham had not signed his contract.
Manchester City and Liverpool have previously been linked with a move for the England international.
Bellingham joined Dortmund from Birmingham in 2020 and has developed into one of Europe’s most-sought after midfielders.
He impressed in the Champions League and was a key player as Dortmund narrowly missed out on the Bundesliga title this season.
Bellingham also made his England debut after moving to Dortmund and was a regular starter for Gareth Southgate’s side at the 2022 World Cup.
He will join a midfield at Madrid that includes Luka Modric, Fede Valverde, Toni Kroos and Aurelien Tchouameni.
Bellingham is under contract with Dortmund until 2025.
Speaking about the midfielder's future after the end of the season, Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl told Bild: "I assume that there will now be movement in the personnel.
"We know that the player is of great value to us, that he has an ongoing contract with no release clause. Everything else will be revealed in the near future.
"We are preparing for different scenarios."
Bellingham played the most minutes (2,691) of any Dortmund outfield player in the Bundesliga this season.
He also scored 14 goals in all competitions.
