Manchester United have "lost patience" with Antony and are considering offering the Brazilian in exchange for Real Sociedad's Takefusa Kubo, according to a report. Meanwhile, The Red Devils will reportedly sign a striker in the January transfer window to "add competition for Rasmus Hojlund", and Liverpool have "moved on" from a January transfer move for Brazilian sensation Andre Trindade.

Man Utd consider Antony swap

Manchester United are reportedly considering offering Antony in exchange for Real Sociedad’s Takefusa Kubo.
Antony has yet to score or register an assist in 19 matches this season and if reports are to be believed United have lost patience in the Brazilian.
The Manchester Evening News writes: “A report from AS, via Sport Witness, says United are keeping tabs on Kubo who has recorded six goals and four assists in 24 outings this season. The article moots that United may be prepared to offer Antony in exchange, although this seems unlikely.
“With Jadon Sancho set to leave United next month on loan, the Reds will need to keep hold of their wide players. It also remains to be seen what stance Sir Jim Ratcliffe takes when he arrives at the club.
“He may take a more hardline approach to transfers but swapping Antony for the untested Kubo would carry its own risks, while Sociedad have indicated they would not agree to a swap deal.”

United eye striker to add competition for Hojlund

Staying on the subject of Manchester United and a report in the Express suggests that the club will sign a striker in the January transfer window to "add competition for Rasmus Hojlund and address Erik ten Hag's lack of goals".
Hojlund is yet to find the net for United in 14 Premier League appearances despite being the UEFA Champions League joint top scorer with five goals.
And with United having failed to score in their last four games - Bournemouth, Bayern Munich, Liverpool and West Ham - the club feels a need to find a solution.
"Ten Hag will reportedly pursue a solution in the New Year to attempt to salvage something from his woeful second campaign at the helm," the article states.
"According to Fabrizio Romano, United are likely to recruit a backup striker this winter to add competition for struggling £72million star Rasmus Hojlund.
"The report adds that United have held talks with the representatives of Borussia Dortmund ace Donyell Malen, Bundesliga bagsman Serhou Guirassy and RB Leipzig's Timo Werner."

Liverpool move on from Trindade

Liverpool have "moved on" from a January transfer move for Brazilian sensation Andre Trindade, claims a report in the Express.
The 22-year-old midfielder played an instrumental role as Fluminense won the Copa Libertadores for the first time in the club's history, putting a number of European clubs on alert.
The Reds were said to be leading the chase for his signature but are now said to have dropped out of the running.
The article reads: "Liverpool have reportedly moved on from a January transfer move for Fluminense midfielder Andre Trindade despite the young starlet dreaming of an Anfield switch.
"Andre has been heavily linked with Liverpool this winter after the Reds tried to entice him away from Brazil over the summer. But Fluminense stood firm, insisting they wouldn't sell the 22-year-old until their domestic campaign wrapped up in December.
"Andre remained at the Maracana as he aided their push for Copa Libertadores glory with the understanding that he would be free to leave in the New Year. Even Fluminense president Mario Bittencourt admitted that Andre would likely be out of the door come the end of the Brazilian Serie A season.
"Yet according to the Athletic, it is "unlikely" Liverpool will look to strike up a deal with Andre next month."
