Manchester United may be frustrated in their pursuit of Rasmus Hojlund as Atalanta want £86 million for the forward, while they face competition from Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea in the hunt for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice. Elsewhere, Chelsea are negotiating for Moises Caicedo, and Tottenham are keen on Crystal Palace's defender Marc Guehi.

United reluctant to pay for Hojlund
The Mirror reports that Manchester United are not prepared to pay the asking price for Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund.
The player had been seen as an alternative to Harry Kane but is valued at £86 million.
The paper states: “The Red Devils are eyeing more firepower in the transfer market with Erik ten Hag seeking to bring in a major No. 9 and potentially a young forward. Hojlund would be seen as the latter, but his rapid rise at the Serie A outfit means they have placed a huge price tag on him.
“The Dane, who scored nine times last season, has four years remaining on his deal in Bergamo, putting Atalanta in a commanding position. They are seeking £86m if they are to sell the 20-year-old.
“They had been hoping to pay around £45m for Hojlund. Ten Hag has several areas he wants to strengthen so is reluctant to spend huge amounts on one player, especially one who may not be viewed as an immediate star. The likes of Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen and Dusan Vlahovic are all on the club's shortlist.”
Chelsea continue to target Caicedo
Moises Caicedo remains a target for Chelsea as they look to add to their squad once again, after a disappointing season.
The Daily Mail suggests that Brighton will look for more than £80m for a transfer fee.
“Chelsea are trying to secure the signing of Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo in a deal worth in excess of £80million,” the story claims.
“Talks have been ongoing for weeks but, with Bayern Munich in the wings, Caicedo has indicated he would like to join Chelsea.
“Different Chelsea players have been proposed in discussions. Brighton want defender Levi Colwill, and have had a £30m offer rejected as Chelsea don't want to sell, while Conor Gallagher is also of interest but would struggle to fit into Brighton's wage structure.”
Tottenham keen on Guehi
Ange Postecoglou could make his first signing as Tottenham boss in the form of Crystal Palace and England defender Marc Guehi.
The Sun thinks that the 22-year-old could cost around £60m this summer.
The paper reports: “It is believed he is keen to sign proven Premier League players, with central defence an area in need of improvement.
“Guehi has been on Tottenham's radar for a while and the club could make a move over the coming weeks, according to transfer guru Ben Jacobs.
“But the centre-back could reportedly cost upwards of £60 million with Palace likely to dig their heels in during negotiations.”
Declan Rice to attract yet more bids
Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea could all challenge Arsenal for the signature of Declan Rice in the coming weeks, and the Telegraph believes that two more bids could be imminent.
“The battle to sign Declan Rice has exploded with claims that two more “top clubs” are expected to bid for the midfielder in the next 24 hours after an opening offer from Arsenal was rejected,” the outlet states.
“It is unclear who the clubs that West Ham United expect to make an offer are but sources have confirmed that Manchester City regard the England international as a “strong option” and are very interested in signing him.
“Chelsea are also in contention - but are believed to be less likely to bid - having asked West Ham to wait as they try and move players on before buying. Similarly, Manchester United have registered their interest although that appears to depend on the outcome of their takeover battle.”
