Paris Saint-Germain appeared to have failed in their attempt to sell Al Hilal their wantaway striker Kylian Mbappe for 259 million euros, but they are engaging in talks with the Saudi Pro League side over the proposed sale of their midfielder Marco Verratti. The Italian international would form one of the best midfields in the league were he to move.

Al Hilal are in talks with Paris Saint-Germain for midfielder Marco Verratti, according to reports.
The PSG midfielder has been linked with a move away from Parc des Princes in recent seasons and it appears that he has finally chosen the Saudi Pro League as his new destination.
At Al Hilal he would form part of what is not just one of the best midfields in the league, but in the world.
The club have already signed Ruben Neves from Wolves as well as Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio.
The Saudi outfit have appeared to fall short in their pursuit of another PSG player, Kylian Mbappe, who seems reluctant to join another club when many believe he has already agreed a deal to join Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer.
Verratti has a contract that runs until 2026 with his current team and the two sides are yet to agree a fee, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that the French champions want around €30 million for the player.
The Italian international joined PSG from Pescara in 2012, and has made 416 appearances for the club, winning nine Ligue 1 trophies.
PSG have had a busy transfer window after signing Manuel Ugarte from Sporting, Lucas Hernandez from Bayern, Kang-in Lee from Mallorca, brought Xavi Simons back from PSV, as well as signing Cher Ndour, Marco Asensio and Milan Skriniar on free transfers.
