WHAT A SAVE! Lloris is the hero again in the final seconds!! He parries away a low shot from Yeremi Pino from a corner!!
SUB! Griezmann comes off for Vertetout as France look to see this out.
FIVE minutes of added time! Spain are going for it now...
- Yellow cardKylian MbappéFrance
GOOD STOP FROM SIMON! At the other end Mbappe shoots from close range, but it is right at Simon! YELLOW! For Mbappe for tripping up Yeremy.
WHAT A SAVE! Oyarzabal strikes a first-time volley in the box off his left boot, but Lloris makes an excellent diving save and gets a strong right hand to it to parry away!
It's a brilliant driving run by Dubois and he is fouled right on the edge of the Spain box. Griezmann and Pogba are standing over the free-kick... the former takes it but he blasts his shot over the bar.
SUBS! Two Spain changes. Torres come off for Merino and Fornals is on for Rodri.
THE GOAL STANDS! Well well well, it looked offside from the replay but VAR official Stuart Attwell felt he was onside and the goal remains on the scoreboard!
- GoalKylian MbappéFrance
GOAL!! MBAPPE SCORES FOR FRANCE! Spain appeared to switch off at the substitution and Mbappe scores! Hernandez plays a dangerous through ball to the PSG forward. He then produces a quick stepover before slotting the ball into the bottom corner! BUT HANG ON! Mbappe may well have been offside and WE'VE GONE TO VAR!
SUB! Pavard makes way for Dubois. This game has been enthralling from the hour mark onwards. Can someone find a late winner in normal time? It feels like we could get one with both sides leaving large gaps defensively.
Koke's shot forces Lloris to parry behind for a Spain corner, but the set-piece does not amount to anything.
If you are based in the UK, you can watch the two goals below...
ANOTHER SHOT! Pogba fires a speculative shot from distance well over the bar.
- OffPablo GaviSpain
SUB! Koke is on for Gavi.
SHOT! Rodri fires an effort on goal from distance but it is blocked and loops over the bar.
SHOT! Mbappe hits a first-time effort on goal which Simon can gather. France have looked the more likely to score since Benzema's stunning equaliser five minutes ago.
This game has come to life! Both sides are really going for it and are not afraid to commit men forward. Benzema's pass finds Mbappe who then shoots on goal, but his effort is blocked.
BIG CHANCE! Mbappe is in space just outside Spain's box and tries to chip Simon who comes out to close him down, but it floats narrowly over the bar!
- GoalKarim BenzemaFrance
FRANCE EQUALISE AND IT IS AN UNBELIEVABLE GOAL FROM BENZEMA! Spain held the lead for moments, but Benzema responds in stunning fashion! He picks the ball up on the edge of the box, cuts inside onto his favoured right foot and masterfully curls the ball into the top corner! Simon gets a hand to it, but he cannot do enough as it flies into the net!
- GoalMikel OyarzabalSpain
GOAL! SPAIN TAKE THE LEAD THROUGH OYARZABAL! Straight away at the other end, Busquets finds Oyarzabal who gets the better of Upamecano and fires his low shot straight into the bottom corner!
OFF THE BAR! Theo Hernandez strikes the woodwork! Mbappe lays the ball off to Benzema on the left flank before his ball finds the wide man whose strike comes off the bar!
Mbappe's through ball looking for Benzema is intercepted by Simon, who rushes off his line to sweep up.
SUB! Sarabia departs and Pino takes his place.
Alonso's corner into the box finds Rodri who flicks the ball on but France can clear their lines.
NO PENALTY! Gavi sprints into the box, but Tchouameni is there to make a vital tackle! There are appeals from the Spain players for a penalty, but it looked a clean challenge.
- Yellow cardJules KoundéFrance
YELLOW! Kounde is booked for a late sliding challenge on Busquets.
CHANCES! Spain break through Sarabia. He bursts down the left flank and crosses looking for Torres at the far post, but it evades him and Oyarzabal. France then surge forward at the other end. Alonso puts in a timely sliding challenge on Mbappe to prevent him from getting a shot away.
Kimpembe puts in a tough tackle on Torres. We have seen a lot of physical, scrappy challenges in this tight contest.
Rodri fouls Pogba in his own box and the Frenchman is not happy. Deschamps tells him to calm down which is probably wise considering Pogba is already on a booking.
- Yellow cardPaul PogbaFrance
YELLOW! For Pogba after he stamps on Busquets' foot. Surprisingly that is the first of the match after 11 fouls.
We are back underway for the second half!
- End of 1st Half
Spain have had 64 per cent possession and two shots on goal, but really there has been very little in this cagey encounter at the San Siro. Second half coming up!
TWO minutes of added time at the end of the first half.
- OffRaphaël VaraneFrance
- OnDayot UpamecanoFrance
SUB! Upamecano is on for Varane.
Varane is down holding his ankle after clearing the ball behind and is getting medical treatment.
Tchouameni brings down Torres, who has been arguably the most lively player on the pitch, and Spain have a free-kick around 35 yards from goal. Alonso decides to shoot rather than cross but he fires it wide of Lloris' near post.
Varane puts in a late tackle on Oyarzabal and escapes a booking. Moments ago there was a VAR check for a penalty for a possible Kounde handball, but no spot-kick was awarded.
We're still goalless as we pass the half hour mark and France have arguably looked the more dangerous team, but there has been a lack of cutting edge from either side.
Kimpembe loses the ball and gives it to Torres. The Spaniard attempts to jink past Kimpembe in the box but he tackles him and Spain with a corner... which comes to nothing.
The game has hit a slow patch with Spain really struggling to work out what to do with the ball while France are simply content to allow them to have it. Benzema attempts to curl a shot on goal from an ambitious angle but his effort is blocked.
Rodri fouls Tchouameni in the centre circle and France look to get more men forward. They've had just 34 per cent possession so far and are yet to have a shot on target.
Gavi attempts to thread a pass through into the box but Tchouameni block his passing channel and clear away. There is a pause in play so Mbappe can get medical treatment. He is caught by Garcia.
This has all the makings of a cagey encounter with Spain keeping the ball for prolonged periods and France happy to soak it up. Spain will be keen to up the tempo and make use of the ball. Torres' cross into the box is cleared away by Varane.
A poor goal-kick by Simon comes out to Hernandez and France regain possession high up the pitch. France fail to capitalise and fashion out a meaningful chance.
SHOT! Torres' threaded pass finds Sarabia but he is off-balance, his first-time shot is tame and Lloris can easily pick up the rolling ball.
Spain have regained some composure and look to build an attack, but they are struggling to really get beyond France's midfield line right now. Les Bleus have already this evening how dangerous they are on the break.
France are firmly applying attacking pressure. Pavard's near-post cross is cleared behind for another France corner. This time it is headed clear by Oyarzabal.
CHANCE! Benzema breaks through on goal, meeting Pogba's through ball and beats Spain's offside trap with Azpilicueta keeping him on... he drifts out wide and around Simon in goal but his squared pass looking for Griezmann is cleared away by the Chelsea defender! The following corner is punched clear by Simon.
Spain have had most of the possession so far as you would expect but have not threatened France's box just yet. France will be keen to unleash Mbappe, Griezmann and Benzema on the counter-attack.
Gavi puts in a tough challenge on Tchouameni to assert himself early on in this match.
