TEAM NEWS: England ring the changes as Lionesses chase quarter-final place

England have made a massive 10 changes to their starting XI as the Lionesses are set to face Portugal in the women’s Euros on Thursday.
Coach Mark Sampson chose to rest the vast majority of his winning team from the England’s first two matches, including Jodie Taylor, who scored in both matches including a hat trick against Scotland, and captain Steph Houghton. Laura Bassett will instead don the captain’s armband on Thursday.
Millie Bright is the only unchanged player in the starting XI.
England currently top group D with a goal difference of eight - though, while improbable, it is still mathematically possible for the team to miss out on a place in the quarter finals.
