Arsenal took a big step towards qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Women’s Champions League with a 1-0 victory over Juventus at the Emirates Stadium.
Vivianne Miedema scored the only goal of a tight game after 17 minutes, finishing from Stina Blackstenius’ cross.
The result moves Arsenal onto 10 points at the top of Group C, five points ahead of Juventus and three ahead of Lyon, who they face next week.
Arsenal need just a point against Lyon in order to guarantee qualification.
Arsenal were boosted by the return of England captain Leah Williamson, who started on her return from a foot injury that kept her out for two months.
The hosts were on top in the early stages and soon after seeing a goal ruled out for offside, Blackstenius crossed deep from the right for Miedema to score her third goal in three games.
Blackstenius shot over as Arsenal pushed for a second and Lotte Wubben-Moy headed wide.
There were few chances in the second half as Arsenal held out for victory.
Defending champions Lyon beat Zurich 4-0 in the other group fixture on Tuesday.
Arsenal travel to Aston Villa in the Women's Super League on Sunday before hosting Lyon on Thursday, December 15.
They finish the group campaign against Zurich on December 21.
