Chelsea cruise to win over Paris Saint-Germain to stay unbeaten in Women's Champions League group

Chelsea were able to stay undefeated in Group A of the Women's Champions League on Thursday night as they secured a 3-0 victory over French side Paris Saint-Germain, who will also be in the draw for next year's knockout stage. Elsewhere, Real Madrid came third in Group A, while Wolfsburg and Roma progressed to the quarter-finals from Group B as they both won.

Chelsea stayed unbeaten as they finished top of Group A in the Women’s Champions League with a 3-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain.
The final group game was played at Stamford Bridge in front of 10,000 fans, and Sam Kerr opened the scoring just before half time with an excellent long-range strike.
Lauren James added another two in the second half, and Chelsea will be seeded in the knockout stage, and play the second leg of their quarter-final time at home.
Real Madrid enjoyed an easy win as Albanian side Vllaznia suffered another heavy defeat in their Champions League group, but they finished third in Group A.
For a few minutes there looked like there might be a huge upset on the cards as Megi Doci opened the scoring for the away side in the opening five minutes, but the game quickly swung back in Real’s favour.
Real levelled on 11 minutes through Caroline Weird, before Teresa Albelleira scored in the 18th minute and then from the spot in the 21st as they took control.
Carlo Camacho added a fourth in the 78th minute and Paula Partido Duran added a fifth for a 5-1 trouncing five minutes later, leaving Vllaznia bottom with no points, and just a single goal scored, and 28 against.
St Polten scored two late on with Mateja Zver and Rita Schumacher, but the result was no longer up for debate with Wolfsburg 7-0 up before Zver’s effort.
Roma had an easy win of their own as they travelled to Czechia for a 3-0 win over Slavia Prague. Goals from Valentina Giacinti, Beata Kollmats and Elena Linari earned the Italian team their latest victory in Group B.
Roma were already certain of progressing but came in second overall. Slavia Prague came bottom.
St Polten were crushed 8-2 when Wolfsburg visited for the pair’s last game in the group.
Lena Lattwein scored after just five minutes for the away side, with more from Marina Hegering, Svenja Huth, Ewa Pajor, Tabea Wassmuth and Pauline Bremer, and Pia-Sophie Wolter snatched a brace.
Wolfsburg topped the group with 14 points while St Polten took third with four.
The draw for the next round will be held on February 10.
