Slavia Prague game with St Polten in UEFA Women’s Champions League called off after shooting in Czech capital

The scheduled UEFA Women’s Champions League contest between Slavia Prague and St Polten on Thursday evening has been called off on account of an incident in the capital of the Czech Republic. At least 15 people are reported to have been killed after a person opened fire at the city's Charles University. Slavia confirmed on social media that the game would not take place.

Thursday evening's UEFA Women’s Champions League match between Slavia Prague and St Polten has been called off due to a shooting incident in the Czech capital.
At least 15 people are reported to have been killed after a person opened fire at the Faculty of Arts of the Charles University in Prague.
Slavia issued a post on social media confirming the game would not take place.
The statement read: “Today's UEFA Women's Champions League match at Eden won't take place due to the tragic events at the Faculty of Arts of the Charles University in Prague.
"We will inform about the replacement date.
“Our thoughts are with the victims of the shooting and their loved ones.”
Slavia and St Polten are in Group B of the UEFA Women’s Champions League alongside Lyon and Brann.
