Teenager Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to be named in England's World Cup squad, according to media reports.
The uncapped 19-year-old right-back will be in named in Gareth Southgate's 23-man squad for Russia despite having yet to appear for the senior team as he caps a dream rise in only his second season in the senior game.
The U21 international trained with England before the friendlies with Italy and the Netherlands in March.
Alexander-Arnold has been rewarded after helping Liverpool reach the Champions League final against Real Madrid on May 26.
He has made 32 appearances for Jurgen Klopp's side this season with Southgate admitting he was impressed by the player's ability.
Kyle Walker's ability to play in central defence as part of a back three has apparently given Alexander-Arnold the chance of a call-up.
But his Anfield team-mates Joe Gomez and Nathaniel Clyde both miss out on the squad which is named later on Wednesday,
According to reports, Danny Rose will be chosen ahead of Ryan Bertrand, who is set to join Jake Livermore and James Tarkowski on a stand-by list for the finals.
