Ronie thinking short-term
Brazil striker Ronaldo has said he is refusing to look to his long-term future in the game, instead preferring to focus on the present.
The Selecao failed to live up the their pre-tournament status as favourites at the World Cup in Germany this summer, crashing out in the quarter-finals to a France team inspired by Zinedine Zidane.
After a change of leadership, Ronaldo is looking to force his way into new coach Dunga's squad for the first time, though insisted he had not given any thought to the next World Cup in South Africa in 2010.
"I'm thinking only short-term goals at the moment," he told GloboEsporte.com. "I cannot even think that far ahead. I am not thinking about 2010, but hope to just go on playing until I do not feel pleasure any more.
"I aim to be always fit and healthy, and not be injured," he added. "I hope this new year will be different and calmer than the one that is finishing."
