The former McLaren technical director has not been at a race since last year, following his off-season decision to join Mercedes.
Having been consigned to non-F1 duties with McLaren for the early part of this season, a deal was eventually agreed with Mercedes for him to be released from his contract early.
Lowe duly joined Mercedes in his role as executive director (technical) on June 3, and his first appearance at a track will be at Silverstone this weekend.
Team principal Ross Brawn said earlier this month that he believed Lowe's early arrival at the team was a boost to the Brackley-based team's long-term ambitions.
"It is a bonus because this is a particularly challenging time with the 2014 car," said Brawn.
"We want to get started, believe it or not, on the 2015 car and it is a period when all our resources have been stretched to the limit."
Lowe is expected to eventually move in to a team principal role when Brawn eventually decides to retire.
