Valtteri Bottas wins Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ahead of Lewis Hamilton in Mercedes one-two

Valtteri Bottas rounded off a special season for Mercedes as he led a one-two with team-mate and world champion Lewis Hamilton at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

In what was an underwhelming and uneventful finish to the season, Bottas took victory over Hamilton and Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel in the season-ending podium.

The Finn produced a brilliant drive to ensure that Mercedes had the perfect finish to a hugely successful season.

The win was the third of Bottas's career and season, denying Hamilton a 10th Grand Prix victory of the campaign.

Vettel took third place to finish runner-up in a championship that Hamilton won in Mexico last month.

Mercedes had already won the constructors' championship for the fourth year in a row. The one-two finish was their fourth of the season.
