Jordan's new owners, Midland Group, say they have talked to Ferrari about an engine supply for 2006. We've been in discussions with all the major engine suppliers, so Ferrari is one of the companies we are talking to," sporting director Trevor Carlin said
Jordan, taken over last month by Russian-born Canadian businessman Alex Shnaider, will race with a Toyota engine for the 2005 season and Carlin did not rule out staying with that manufacturer.
He said Midland, who have commissioned Italian chassis designer Dallara to build a car for them, were likely to stay with tyre supplier Bridgestone.
"We have a very strong relationship, which we have taken on from (Jordan founder) Eddie Jordan, with Bridgestone and I see no reason at all why we would change that," he said.
