Robert Doornbos will remain as test and reserve driver for Red Bull for the 2007 season, the team have announced.
The 25-year-old Dutchman, who started three races for the team last season following the sacking of Christian Klien, was confirmed in the role as the team unveiled their all-new RB3 at Barcelona in Spain, and is extremely proud to be back.
Doornbos said: "I'm happy and proud to be here. I had an awesome time within the Red Bull family last year and proved my worth in the three races I was given.
"Next to this I was able to witness the team's boundless ambition and determination to realise their objectives from a close distance.
"No wonder I wanted to be part of the team's plans again in 2007. If the car proves to be just as quick as it looks like, we can look forward to a great year!"
Doornbos had been targeted by Paul Stoddart - the man who gave him his Formula One debut with Minardi in 2005 - for his new ChampCar team, and had tested for them in Florida for two days earlier this week.
Red Bull also confirmed that German Michael Ammermuller will have a testing role this season.
Ammermuller, who took over from Doornbos as third driver last year when the latter was given a race seat, will also race in the GP2 Series.
