BYE FOR NOW

That's it for Round 7 and the Misano E-Prix, thank you for your company through today's race. Formula E returns in two weeks from now for the Monaco E-Prix - see you then!

15:13

CASSIDY POST-RACE

'I think we've got to be happy in some ways. It's been a rough few races, so it's nice to be back on the podium.

'[Taking third through the last corner] is kind of a cheery on the cake. Well done to [the Abt Cupra Formula E Team] as well, they're doing a great job. It's so cool to see Nico [Mueller] and the Abt guys doing well and to have such a close finish.'

15:08

DENNIS POST-RACE

'It came together in the race. Ninth to second is a pretty good day in the office, but it was a struggle. As soon as the pace picked up at the front, I got dropped immediately and fell back into the clutches of both Nicks [Cassidy and Mueller]. It was just survival mode for me today. This weekend has been a real struggle, but to come out with two second places is a good salvage of points.

'[Pascal and I finishing one-two for the fifth time] shows how good the Porsche powertrain is, full credit to these guys for bringing such an efficient powertrain to give us the opportunity to do this. We both scored a lot of points and are sitting pretty towards the top end of the championship.

'Overall, a lot of work to do before Monaco to sort our qualifying pace out and then we can really start this championship.'

15:01

WEHRLEIN POST-RACE

'Yesterday could have been better, but I'm very happy with the race today. Quite chaotic again in the beginning until mid-race. At the end, I wasn't quite sure if I should stay in the lead or let Ollie [Rowland] through. The pace he did seemed a bit weird and too fast to try to defend, so I didn't defend him hard. I was a bit surprised about his energy, hearing [he was down on energy] and wasn't sure if the team had the correct information or not. But in the end, it proved to be the right thing to do. It was a lot of managing in the end, the energy, the battery, the tyres ... just everything.

'It goes quickly from zero to hero or the other way round, we know that in Formula E. I think we had the pace this weekend to win both races. Unfortunately, yesterday with this kind of race, I was a bit of a victim with my front wing and then being at the back. But today was a big redemption for us. Let's see the checks now, but I'm pretty sure it will be okay.'

26/26

WEHRLEIN WINS IN MISANO

Incredibly, Wehrlein takes the win, having inherited the lead from Rowland who evidentially miscalculated his energy.

Dennis defends second while Cassidy takes the final podium position off Mueller through the final turn.

26/26

ROWLAND ROLLS OUT

Rowland slows down on track, apparently having run out of energy.

25/26

FIGHT FOR THIRD

First and second looks decided, but it's getting feisty between Dennis, Mueller, and Cassidy for third.

24/26

ROWLAND PULLS THE PIN

Rowland puts some breathing space between himself and Wehrlein.

23/26

WEHRLEIN STALKS ROWLAND

Wehrlein has the energy advantage by three per cent over Rowland. He stalks Rowland for now.

There's a good gap to Dennis in third now.

22/26

GAPS BACK UP

Indeed, Rowland steps things up and the gaps are reforming. Wehrlein goes with him and it's a duo at the front.

21/26

ROWLAND RECLAIMS LEAD

Interesting tactic from Rowland who reclaims the lead and ups the pace again. He has two per cent less energy than his opponents though.

20/26

ORDER SETTLES

Things are settling down for the moment at the front with Wehrlein still leading Rowland. However, Dennis has closed the gap down and a bit of a group has formed with Mueller, Guenther, and Cassidy also in the mix.

19/26

CLEAR GAP AT THE FRONT

There is now a second separating the Wehrlein/Rowland duo from Dennis in third. The Andretti driver himself has a gap to Mueller in fourth.

18/26

WEHRLEIN TAKES LEAD

Wehrlein takes over in the lead. He has two per cent more energy left compared to Rowland.

17/26

EVANS STOPPED ON TRACK

Evans is stranded on track at Turn 9. Yellow flags only at this point.

16/26

ROWLAND PULLS THE PIN

Indeed, Rowland has stepped things up here pace-wise. Wehrlein can go with him and the slightest gap separates them from Dennis in third.

15/26

ROWLAND IN THE LEAD

Rowland has taken over at the front of the field and looks to be maybe testing the waters a little bit with an increased pace.

14/26

HALFWAY THROUGH

At the halfway stage of the race, things are much as expected with a peloton and no one blinking yet.

13/26

GAME OVER FOR NATO

Nato is the next driver who's race is over with damage to his front wing.

12/26

FIELD GETS FEISTY

Now it's a proper peloton with the field all bunched up and the order chopping and changing.

11/26

DISASTER FOR DA COSTA

The weekend gets worse for Da Costa as smoke comes off his right front tyre due to wing damage and the race is effectively over for him.

10/26

ATTACK MODE HUGHES

Second attack mode for Hughes now too.

9/26

MORE ATTACK MODES AT THE FRONT

Mueller and Wehrlein deploy their second attack modes and Cassidy takes over in the lead with Hughes sneaking into second.

8/26

ORDER BEHIND SAFETY CAR

Mueller leads the pack behind the safety car with Wehrlein following in second. Cassidy is third from Hughes, Rowland and Guenther.

The safety car will retire at the end of this lap.

7/26

FRIJNS OFF TRACK, SAFETY CAR ON

Frijns is stranded in the gravel as he gets sandwiched between two cars and loses the racing line. The safety car is out.

6/26

TWO ATTACK MODES CASSIDY

Cassidy is the first driver to deploy both of his attack modes. He is running third in the concertinaing field.

6/26

FAST PACE!

Cassidy sets the fastet lap of the race and indeed the pace is already quite high, especially compared to yesterday.

5/26

PELOTON

This is now more of what we expected with a peloton-style and the order frequently changing.

4/26

FIRST ATTACK MODES

First couple of attack modes as Hughes and Vergne as well as Mueller go wide. Vergne takes over at the front of the field.

3/26

HUGHES CONTINUES TO LEAD

Astonishingly, Hughes defends the inside line and actively hangs on to the lead. You would have expected him to try fall back at some point to conserve energy.

2/26

QUIET, CLEAN OPENER

So far, so clean with only a couple of overtakes in the field so far. Hughes continues to lead with Vergne now in second and third changing hands between Cassidy and Wehrlein.

1/26

HUGHES DEFENDS LEAD FROM POLE

It's tight, but Hughes hangs on to P1 going into Turn 1. Wehrlein is second and Vergne third.

14:00

WEATHER REPORT

The sun is out and nothing should interfere with a great race today.

DA COSTA HOPING FOR MORE

Despite disqualification yesterday, Antonio Felix Da Costa showed impressive form in the first Misano E-Prix and is hoping for more of the same today: 'We know we have a strong package in these types of races. It was a very well-executed race [yesterday], both in the garage and I was happy to be able to execute the plan well on-track.

'For key moments, I would say keeping the car clean and not touching anything and when the time came to pull the trigger and doing that efficiently. We were also able to be the first one to pull the trigger. It was close to perfection. I'll try and qualify a little bit more further up the road [for the second race] to make life a little bit easier for myself. Regardless, I think we hope we can have another strong day.

'Awareness is the key word. I was very aware of where everybody was. There were a lot of fights that I had to lose out there to make sure I got my car clean, but I was always able to react and bring it home. Oliver [Rowland] started a bit further up the road, and I had to spend a little bit of energy to get there initially. But I know that we do have a strong powertrain and an efficient powertrain, so I know we have a good chance.'

13:50

ROWLAND IN DREAMLAND

With four podiums on the bounce and an inherited race win in Round 6, everything is going firmly in Oliver Rowland's favour at the moment. 'I'm still wondering if I'm going to wake up,' he said. 'Look, the team deserves it. I deserve it. We have all worked hard, so let's enjoy it while we can. We know it's not going to last forever, but I am enjoying myself at the moment.

'We've had a strong start to the year and we maximized our performance again [in Round 6]. We expected a tricky race on a track that requires high efficiency, but the car was great. We managed the energy well and the strategy was spot on. We had to adapt during the race as it was a chaotic one.

'The start was fast and I dropped back a few places, but quickly re-gained them. We were in a strong position for the second half, and once we matched our energy target we pushed on. It's amazing to be leading the championship but there's a long way to go so our full focus is on [Round 7].

WHAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY

Antonio Felix Da Costa looked to have managed yesterday's race beautifully. After he and Oliver Rowland escaped the peloton in the late stages and with an energy advantage, the Porsche driver won the shoot-out for victory. However, Da Costa's celebrations were short-lived, with the Porsche driver later disqualified from the race due to a part which failed to meet Formula E regulations.

NEW LOCATION COMES WITH PLENTY OF OVERTAKES

The Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, or Misano Circuit Sic 58, will be familiar to many motorsport fans with the track being a regular on the MotoGP and WorldSBK calendars, as well hosting endurance and sportscar racing, DTM, and many more. It is, however, making its Formula E debut this weekend.

It's a rapid, flowing track with plenty of overtaking opportunities and room for manoeuvres over the course of 3.38km. Yesterday we saw a three-figure number of overtakes with no doubt more of the same in store for today with another peloton race.
