'Would go through 100 Sundays like this' - McIlroy on his desire to end major drought

Rory McIlroy is determined to get his hands on another major title and said he “would go through 100 Sundays like this” to finish on top once more.
He was narrowly outdone to the US Open trophy by American Wyndham Clark who clinched his first major by one shot on Sunday.
McIlroy was in contention throughout the contest but a bogey on the 14th hole proved pivotal to the final outcome.
Following Clark’s win, the 34-year-old Northern Irishman remained positive and fully focused on his next challenge despite missing out on a fifth title.
"When I finally win this next major, it's going to be really, really sweet," he said. "I would go through 100 Sundays like this to get my hands on another major championship.
"The golf course was playing really tricky but all in all, I played a solid round. It is fine margins at this level, at this tournament especially, but I fought to the very end.
"I'll keep coming back until I get another one."
McIlroy has now finished top 10 in each of his last five appearances at the US Open.
His long wait for a major continues after his last triumph at the US PGA Championship in 2014.

He will have the chance to end his barren run at the 151st Open Championship in July at Royal Liverpool.
"Three minutes ago," McIlroy answered when asked at what point his preparations begin for that tournament.
"I'll play Travelers next week [on the PGA Tour], I'll play the Scottish Open [at The Renaissance Club in Scotland in July] but I am focused on making sure that I am ready to go for Liverpool."
