Bruins see off Devils to continue winning run

The Boston Bruins roared to their fifth straight victory as rookie right winger Seth Griffith scored a spectacular goal and center Patrice Bergeron added another along with two assists in a 4-2 win over the New Jersey Devils.

Bergeron, who has six points during a four-game point-scoring streak, netted his third goal of the season and assisted on goals by center Carl Soderberg and right winger Reilly Smith.
Smith also assisted on the Soderberg goal.
The goals by Griffith and Smith came 1:20 apart late in the second period, after the Devils (6-7-2) had tied the game at 2-2 and were putting pressure on the Bruins (10-6-0).

Hurricanes 4, Flames 1
Jeff Skinner scored his 100th career goal during a game-changing second period and the surging Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Calgary Flames 4-1.
Defensemen Justin Faulk and Tim Gleason, and left winger Zach Boychuk also scored for Carolina.
The Hurricanes (5-6-3) have a six-game points streak, moving to 4-0-0 in home games this month and goalie Cam Ward registered a victory in his fifth consecutive outing, stopping 22 shots.
Right winger David Jones scored on a first-period power-play for the Flames (9-6-2).
