Sidney Crosby inspires Penguins to win over Bruins

Sidney Crosby, already with a goal and an assist, set up Evgeni Malkin for his second goal of the game 32 seconds into overtime to give the Pittsburgh Penguins a hard-fought 3-2 victory over the Boston Bruins.

Penguins 3, Bruins 2 (OT)
Malkin fired home his 10th of the season, beating Tuukka Rask as the Penguins (14-4-2) ended a two-game losing streak and handed Boston (13-9-1) its second straight loss.
Defenseman Kris Letang assisted on Pittsburgh's first two goals.
Rask made 30 saves while Marc-Andre Fleury made 27 saves for the Penguins to pick up his 300th career victory.

Islanders 1, Flyers 0 (SO)
Frans Nielsen and John Tavares scored in the shootout as the New York Islanders outlasted the Philadelphia Flyers 1-0.
The goals by Nielsen and Tavares on the second and third attempts of the shootout marred an otherwise spectacular effort by Flyers goalie Steve Mason, who made 46 saves in regulation and overtime.
Islanders goalie Jaroslav Halak recorded 21 saves in regulation and overtime before stopping all three shots he faced in the shootout.
The Islanders (15-6-0) have won nine of their last 10 games.

Red Wings 4, Senators 3
Stephen Weiss scored his first goals in more than a year as the Detroit Red Wings held off the Ottawa Senators 4-3.
Left winger Gustav Nyquist and center Riley Sheahan also scored for Detroit.
Ottawa center Kyle Turris and defenseman Erik Karlsson both had a goal and an assist while Chris Neil also scored.
The Red Wings scored three times in the second period to take a 4-1 lead before Karlsson cut the Red Wings' lead to 4-2, 2:43 into the third period.
Neil pulled the deficit to one with 35 seconds remaining but it proved too little too late.

Wild 4, Panthers 1
Left winger Jason Zucker scored twice on assists from center Mikko Koivu to lead the Minnesota Wild to a 4-1 win over the Florida Panthers.
Nino Niederreiter and Zach Parise also scored for the Wild while Panthers left winger Shawn Thornton scored the home side's goal.
