Floyd Mayweather’s highly-anticipated boxing contest against Manny Pacquiao was billed as the ‘fight of the century’ – with ticket prices sky-rocketing and the MGM Grand in Las Vegas filled almost exclusively with celebrities.

Among those celebs were plenty of famous names in the fight game, and one of the most famous of them all captured the feelings of many a fight fan with this tweet after Mayweather defeated Pacquiao:
We waited 5 years for that... — Mike Tyson (@MikeTyson) May 3, 2015
Funny, yes, but it did seem a bit harsh considering the bout, even though Mayweather was the clear winner and was still more competitive and physical than most of his other recent outings.

The truth is, it wasn’t just the result or Mayweather’s methodical style which led to a fair pocket of viewers rejecting what was on offer.
It was also knowing that seats for the event were quickly gobbled up by absolutely anyone with any sort of name value, regardless of whether or not they could even spell the name Pacquiao.
Overreaction Theatre, of course, will not name any names, and the placement of the following photo and tweet are purely coincidential.
As much as I wanted to be at the MGM for this, I'm glad Paris Hilton made it. Would be no justice in this world if she couldn't get in.— Liam Happe (@liamhappe) May 3, 2015
My favorite undercard match of the night was @ParisHilton vs Old Age. pic.twitter.com/WvkQ3R7rlk— Diane N. Sevenay (@Diane_7A) May 3, 2015
Apparently, the true answer to the question ‘Pacquiao or Mayweather, who wins?’ is… UFC!
Mayweather vs Pacquiao ... The winner by (very) unanimous decision, and STILLLLLLLLLLL champion @ufc— MachoDan RandySavage (@Niceguydannny) May 3, 2015
I'm glad I watched Mayweather / Pacquiao because it reminded me of how much I'd rather be watching the UFC.— Jim Norton (@JimNorton) May 3, 2015
Mayweather should join UFC since he likes grappling and head locking so much— Don Jon (@elijahbarajas) May 3, 2015
This guy, however, says ‘suck on this, MMA punks!’
Too lazy to do the math but I'm guessing Mayweather just made more tonight than all 2014/2015 UFC main card salaries combined.— Blair Herter (@blairherter) May 3, 2015
These viewers were simply upset that Mayweather could not do them the simple favour of standing still so Pacquiao could repeatedly smash him with his fists over and over again.
Mayweather should get a track award for running away! Mayweather NEVER FOUGHT A WAR IN HIS CAREER! HE WILL NEVER BE CONSIDERED W/GREATS!— Rob Schneider (@RobSchneider) May 3, 2015
All Mayweather did was avoiding, running in circles, whispering and hugging. And he won. I don't get it.— Phoebe Shafinaz (@PhoebeShafinaz) May 3, 2015
"Pull a Mayweather" Idiom meaning running away from something you're afraid of. eg: I saw a spider in my room so I pulled a Mayweather.— nikita ✖️ (@enjolraswrites) May 3, 2015
Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the best defensive fighter ever. But he just got away with a whole lot of fancy run-run-running.— Skip Bayless (@RealSkipBayless) May 3, 2015
