BAGNAIA WINS THE INDONESIAN GRAND PRIX
That was the ride of a world champion as Bagnaia holds on to the lead to win the Indonesian GP and reclaim top of the title standings. Vinales manages to keep Quartararo behind him for runner-up.
QUARTARARO ATTACKS
Quartararo is looking for an attack on Vinales but just can't make it stick. Bagnaia is the one to profit as he just about looks to have P1 covered.
BEHIND THE FRONT RUNNERS
Behind the top trio, Di Giannantonio is holding on to fourth ahead of Binder. Bezzecchi is doing an incredible job in sixth, resisting what must be intense pain from an only recently broken collarbone.
FAR FROM DECIDED
Quartararo can't make a move on Vinales stick at this point, but the duo's gap to Bagnaia is coming down. This is far from over.
QUARTARARO FASTEST BUT OUTWITH STRIKING DISTANCE
Quartararo is fastest here, but he just can't get quite within striking distance and instead runs wide.
GAPS COMING DOWN AT THE FRONT
There's now hardly anything separating Quartararo and Vinales. The big question is how quickly Quartararo can get the overtake done here to give himself a chance to hunt down Bagnaia, less than a second ahead in the lead.
GAME ON FOR QUARTARARO
The Frenchman is flying here and taking chunks out of the riders ahead of him. Only around half a second separates him from Vinales now.
BAGNAIA CLAIMS LEAD
Bagnaia picks up Vinales to hit the front. The fastest rider here though is Quartararo in third who has his sight set on a potential win here.
DI GIANNANTONIO UP TO FOURTH
Di Giannantonio is having the best race of his season so far as he claims Miller for fourth.
QUARTARARO COMFORTABLE IN PODIUM SPOT
Quartararo is looking very well in third and has a comfortable lead over Miller in fourth. The Aussie, however, is under attack from Di Giannantonio with Bezzecchi not far behind either.
FRONT GAP COMES DOWN
Bagnaia is edging closer to Vinales with the gap now on around half a second. He could bounce back from losing the championship lead yesterday big time.
ESPARGARO ON THE DOWN
The soft/soft gamble clearly hasn't paid off for Espargaro who drops position after position here.
VINALES LEADS
Martin's crash has Vinales inherit the lead, at the moment 1.2 seconds ahead of Bagnaia. Quartararo has claimed Espargaro for third and is currently the fastest rider on track.
MARTIN CRASHES OUT
Can you believe it?! Martin crashes out of a three-second lead and virtually hands the championship lead back to Bagnaia.
CONCERNING TIMES FOR ESPARGARO
Espargaro is in trouble here as he drops further and further behind Bagnaia and into the clutches of Quartararo.
OLIVEIRA WIDE
Oliveira is out of the fight for sixth for the time being as contact with Binder has him running well well wide. There is some debris flying as well and Binder is already under investigations.
FEISTY SCRAP FOR 6TH
The gaps might be big out front, but there aren't any in the fight for sixth. Five riders - Oliveira, Miller, Bezzecchi, Di Giannantonio, and Binder - are battling it out here.
BIG GAPS AT THE FRONT
Martin is well ahead of Vinales who himself has a comfortable cushion over his chasers. Bagnaia and Espargaro are running closely together in third and fourth with Quartararo over a second behind in a lonely fifth place.
MARQUEZ DOWN
Two crashes in two races in Indonesia for Marquez who goes down at T13.
MARTIN IN CONTROL
The gap at the front is only getting bigger and this could already be Martin's to lose.
ESPARGARO ON THE ATTACK
Espargaro is now putting some good pressure on Bagnaia for third. Mind the Spaniard opted to gamble on soft/soft tyres, meaning he is facing dilemma of having to attack now before the tyres fade while also needing to nurse them over distance.
PENALTY FOR BINDER
Binder receives a Long Lap penalty for the incident with Marini.
FASTEST LAPS FOR MARTIN
Martin keeps upping the lap time benchmark here and already has around one second of an advantage over Vinales.
BAGNAIA UP TO THIRD
And there's the move from Bagnaia who claims third. Quartararo meanwhile runs wide and drops into sixth behind Espargaro and Binder.
GAME ON FOR THIRD
Bagnaia too had a brilliant start from P13 and is already fighting for third with Quartararo, Binder, and Espargaro.
MARINI DOWN
Marini will not get a chance to serve his Long Lap penalty here as he is clipped by Binder, who is trying everything to avoid running into Quartararo ahead of him, and goes down at T10.
SENSATIONAL START HAS MARTIN STEAL HOLESHOT
Unreal from Martin who launches away like a rocket from P6 and leads into Turn 1. Vinales is his first chaser and a small gap already opens to Quartararo in third. Espargaro is having a nightmare here, dropping position after position.
WARM UP LAP
The riders are out on track for their warm up lap.
A late tyre swap for Aleix Espargaro sees him gambling on a soft/soft combo.
GRID LINE-UP
Here is a final reminder of how the riders are lining up on the grid today:
TYRE NEWS
Michelin strongly recommended the use of either the medium or hard rear tyre compound and almost all riders went with that suggestion and opted for the medium. The tyre list indicates a mix of choices on the front tyres though:
WEATHER REPORT
It's hot and it's humid - with up to 60 degrees Celsius track temperature and nearly no section of the circuit allowing for relaxation, this will be a tough race for riders and machines.
LONG LAP PENALTY FOR MARINI
Luca Marini may start the Grand Prix from pole, but the Italian will have to serve a Long Lap penalty during the race following his Turn 1 collision in the Sprint back in India.
The same applies for Enea Bastianini who is finally back from a lengthy injury absence and will start from P11, outqualifying his team-mate Francesco Bagnaia for the first time this year. His Long Lap penalty stems from a Turn 1 collision from way back at the Catalunya GP.
DUCATI CLINCH CONSTRUCTORS' TITLE
One world championship has meanwhiel already been decided yesterday with the Bologna Bullets clinching the constructors' title for the fourth year running. The Italian manufacturer dominated proceedings in 2023 being the highest-scoring factory at every round of the season so far with three Ducati teams (Prima Pramac Racing, Mooney VR46 Racing Team, Ducati Lenovo Team) locking out the top three in the teams championship as well.
The fight for second and third is well on though with KTM currently holding runner-up spot by 27 points over Aprilia in third.
GAME ON IN THE TITLE FIGHT
It's been coming and Jorge Martin finally took the championship top off Francesco Bagnaia yesterday, becoming the third leader so far this season alongside Bagnaia and Marco Bezzecchi.
While the curve has only been going up for Martin in the last couple of weekends, it's been the exact opposite for Bagnaia whose performance has dropped with a couple of unforced errors along the way. Seven points now separate the Ducati duo and it's all to play for.
MARTIN CLAIMS SPRINT WIN AND CHAMPIONSHIP LEAD
Jorge Martin now leads the championship standings courtesy of victory of yesterday's Sprint. It was an action- and drama-packed race with Martin eventually joined on the podium by Mooney VR46 duo Luca Marini and Marco Bezzecchi.

MAIDEN POLE POSITION FOR MARINI, APRILIA COMPLETE FRONT ROW
Luca Marini will start a Grand Prix from pole position for the first time in his career, courtesy of a blistering 1:29.978 lap in yesterday's qualifying. The factory Aprilias of Maverick Vinales and Aleix Espargaro complete the front row while the second row is made up of Fabio Quartararo, Brad Binder, and Jorge Martin who suffered a crash in Q2.
Francesco Bagnaia had to go through Q1 and could not progress following a crash. He will start today's race from P13.
