BASTIANINI WINS MALAYSIAN MOTO GP
Victory for Enea Bastianini as he looks to end strongly to the season, with Alex Marquez in second.
Bagnaia beats Martin into fourth, extending his lead to 14 points ahead of Qatar, the penultimate race of the season.
FINAL LAP
Only a mistake will cost the front four any points here.
BAGNAIA CRUISING
He has a five-second advantage over Martin, with less than two laps remaining here.
MARQUEZ ON COURSE
It would be his second podium of the season and he will likely be prepared not to risk that in order to build some momentum.
GAPS REMAIN UP TOP
Bastianini is 1.3s clear of Marquez, who has almost two seconds on Bagnaia. Martin is more than three seconds behind in fourth.
BINDER OUT
Leaning into a corner it seemed the tyres gave out and he fell away.
BATTLE AT THE BACK INTENSIFIES
Behind Martin in fourth, things are getting lively. No change in front of him, though.
ESPARGARO OUT
Under no pressure, he slides out in 13th place.
RIDERS FIND THEIR RHYTHM
The top four are putting in lap times of just under two minutes and until things seriously change for the bikes, things look settled.
BAGNAIA STRETCHES OUT
A 3/4 second lead over him now and as things stand, that means Martin will trail by 14 points at the end of the race.
BAGNAIA BACK IN THIRD
He briefly lost his third place but he bravely put himself back in a dangerous path and claimed third once more.
BAGNAIA AND MARTIN CLASH
Martin goes down the inside and Bagnaia pushes back in to force him wide, with the pair brushing alongside one another.
BASTIANINI FASTEST
The front two are almost a second clear of Bagnaia, and Bagniaia-Martin are half a second clear of fifth.
MARTIN UP TO FOURTH
He's lurking behind Bagnaia now but he has an 11-point deficit to overcome.
THEY'RE OFF
Martin is a touch aggressive and back to fifth. Bastianini and Alex Marquez are the front pair. Bagnaia in second.
FORMATION LAP
The riders are out in the 33 degree heat, with clouds threatening rain.
HOW THEY LINE UP
