The 2024 MotoGP season is just around the corner, with the opening race in Qatar set for March 10 live on TNT Sports. But some are already looking ahead to the 2025 season. It has been reported that Fermin Aldeguer is set to make the step up from Moto2 and his fellow Spaniard Jorge Martin feels the youngster has the talent to succeed in the elite of the sport.

Jorge Martin believes Fermin Aldeguer has the tools to make a seamless transition from Moto2 to MotoGP.
Autosport reported earlier in the week that the 18-year-old had agreed a deal with Ducati to join the Pramac team for the 2025 season.
Such a move would potentially cast doubt on Martin’s place in the team, but he believes his fellow Spaniard is deserving of a seat at the top table.
“I think he’s ready,” Martin said. “I think, after the end of last season, we saw his potential.
“Now it’s time to really demonstrate for a long season and be fighting for a championship.
“But for sure I think at the moment he is the strongest in Moto2. [He needs] to be relaxed.
“I don’t know if he has signed or not, but this I think will give him some confidence into the season.”
Martin was asked questions about his own future at a press conference in Bahrain, and said his aim was to secure a seat on a Ducati.
“Well, I think it’s still early,” he told Autosport. “We have to wait. I think Ducati wants to understand exactly what will be… well, I think they’ve chosen [defending champion, Francesco] Bagnaia already. For sure he deserves it. But let’s see.
“I think I have shown what I am capable of and I think if I start the season in this way [like I showed last year] there is no other chance.
“My priority is to go to the factory seat of Ducati, but if not let’s see.”
The MotoGP season gets underway in Qatar on March 10, with the racing live on TNT Sports.
