MarcVDS rider Mika Kallio bagged his first-ever Moto2 win at the Czech race in Brno.
Kallio started from fourth but moved up to second at the start, and overtook Tom Luthi on the fourth lap to claim the lead.
With the expected rain not arriving Kallio had a straightforward battle to hang on for the win - his first since he took victory in a 250cc race at Donington in 2007.
Britain's title-chasing Scott Redding struggled to eighth, far behind team-mate Kallio.
Kallio did however perform some damage limitation for Redding by taking points away from Redding's title rival Pol Espargaro as he finished in fourth compared to Redding's eighth and loses only five points to the Spaniard.
