Jason Lamy-Chappuis clinched his first Nordic Combined World Cup victory of the season on Sunday to move within touching distance of the overall top three.
The Frenchman crossed the line on the 10km course in a time of 25:58.2 to see off both Mikko Kokslien and Fabian Riessle in a tight finish in Austria.
Norway's Kokslien, who sits second in the World Cup leaderboard, was 0.2 seconds back while leader Fabian Riessle was just half a second further behind.
Riessle's fellow German Eric Frenzel, the two-time reigning World Cup champion, finished fourth and currently sits third in the standings but Lamy-Chappuis is now on his tail, just 23 points behind.
Next up is a trip to Riessle and Frenzel's homeland, where Schonach will host the competition on January 3.
