Castleford have signed Warrington's prolific tryscoring winger Joel Monaghan on a two-year deal.
The 33-year-old Australian, who averaged a try a match in his 145 appearances for the Wolves, had been linked with Catalans Dragons and Salford after being released from the final year of his contract at Warrington at the end of the 2015 season.
Castleford coach Daryl Powell said:"Joel Monaghan is a high quality and experienced winger to add to our backline. He is a proven tryscorer with good leadership skills and I expect him to help drive our standards in 2016."
Monaghan, a former player with Sydney Roosters and Canberra who won State of Origin honours with New South Wales and played for Australia in the 2008 World Cup final, was captain of Warrington in his final year at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Monaghan said: "I'm really excited. This is a team that are challenging for trophies and top fours. Cas are a very well coached side and they are a very good bunch of blokes. I know a couple of the guys but I'm looking forward to pre-season and getting to know the rest of them.
"It's a great place down here at the Jungle and a very hard place for teams to come and get a win. When I told my dad I'd signed here he was happy because the Jungle is always his favourite ground to come to."
Although Monaghan can play centre, t he signing casts further doubt over the future at Castleford of another Australian winger, Justin Carney, whose internal suspension was lifted last month following a disciplinary investigation.
The Tigers are also being linked with a move for Wigan utility back Ryan Hampshire.
