Fergus Burke is making the move from the Crusaders to Saracens from the end of the summer, coming into the squad at fly-half. The Kiwi youngster has previously represented New Zealand at Under-20 level, but is qualified to play for England. But first, he must win a starting place in Joe Shaw's side when he arrives in England to link up with his new team-mates.

Saracens have announced they have completed the signing of fly-half Fergus Burke from the Crusaders.
The Gallagher Premiership champions are soon to be without the talents of Owen Farrell who is departing at the end of the season for France.
As such, they had a berth available for a new fly-half – and it has seemingly been filled by the talented boots of 24-year-old Fergus Burke.
Burke has been plying his trade in New Zealand for the Crusaders, helping them to the Super Rugby title in 2023. He made his debut with the Crusaders in 2020 and has represented New Zealand at Under-20 level.
Currently rehabbing an Achilles’ injury suffered last year, Burke is nonetheless an interesting signing for Saracens given he is England-qualified, although he does have big boots to fill. Farrell’s departure has been long known, with the former England captain announcing his decision to move to French team Racing 92 back in January.
But the realisation of what they are losing will hit Saracens hard, with Farrell not just an exceptional on-field talent and astute kicker from the tee, but also one of the strongest voices in the changing room and a charismatic leader.
But for Burke, his role will be to secure a starting slot at fly-half for the next Premiership season starting later this year.
“I’m excited and grateful to be joining such a prestigious club. I am looking forward to coming over and meeting everyone at the club and all of the Saracens supporters,” Burke said in the club’s press release.
Director of Rugby Mark McCall added: “Fergus is a very exciting addition to our squad and the Gallagher Premiership. His playing ability and potential is obvious and we have been hugely impressed by his ambition and desire to take his game to the next level.
“At 24, Fergus joins a group of players who we believe can take the club forward in the years to come.”
Saracens currently sit third in the Premiership table, seven points behind leaders Northampton and two points adrift of second-placed Bath.
