Saracens back-rower Andy Christie faces a spell on the sidelines after the club confirmed he broke his arm during the 41-30 defeat to Northampton Saints in the Gallagher Premiership. The 25-year-old has been one of the most consistent performers for Saracens this season but needs to undergo surgery and will be out of action for around 12 weeks.

Saracens forward Andy Christie has been ruled out for the rest of the season after breaking his arm in the 41-30 loss to Northampton Saints on Friday night at Franklin’s Gardens.
The back-rower has been in excellent form for the reigning Gallagher Premiership Rugby champions and earned his first start for Scotland in the Six Nations last month but now faces a spell on the sidelines.
Confirming the news, a statement on the Saracens website read: “It [the broken arm] will require an operation and is expected to keep him out for around 12 weeks.
“We're all behind you and wish you a speedy recovery, Andy!”
It will be a blow for Saracens ahead of their last-16 Investec Champions Cup clash against Bordeaux Begles on Saturday and with the club locked in a battle to finish the regular Gallagher Premiership season in the top four.
The race for the play-offs could hardly be tighter, with just seven points separating Bath in second from Sale Sharks in eighth with four rounds of fixtures remaining.
Sarries sit third after thumping Harlequins 52-7 following the resumption after the Six Nations break but couldn’t back that up with a victory over league leaders Northampton.
Alex Lewington scored two late tries to secure a losing bonus point, though, which could prove crucial.
If Saracens beat Bordeaux, they will play their quarter-final before they return to domestic action against Gloucester at home.
After that, they face away fixtures against Bath and Bristol Bears before taking on Sale on May 18 at the StoneX Stadium.
