Racing Metro opened up a five-point lead at the top of the Top 14 standings with a 15-13 home win over Aviron Bayonnais.
Benjamin Boyet opened the scoring for the visitors with a fifth-minute penalty, before two kicks from Jonathan Wisniewski put Racing into a 6-3 lead at the break.
Two more penalties from Boyet soon after the restart breifly had Aviron in front, but Wisniewski then converted the game's only drop goal to level proceedings.
Eventually Racing's superiority shone through and two further penalties from Mirco Bergamasco in the final 15 minutes sealed the points for the Paris side.
