Toulouse win Top 14 title

Toulouse defeated Toulon 18-12 to lift their 19th French championship in the Top 14 final at the Stade de France.

Guy Noves's side dominated the scrum and spent the majority of the contest on the front foot, but a host of unforced errors led to a much closer scoreline in a tough and tryless final.

Jonny Wilkinson scored four penalties for Toulon, but Luke McAlister was equally efficient for the eventual winners.

Toulon's wait for a fourth title continues, their last success coming in 1992.
