Karl Geiger wins second World Cup of the season in Germany in ski jump at Klingenthal, Gregor Deschwanden second

Home favourite Geiger clinched his second win in two days as the Germany also clinch bronze in Klingenthal. The 30-year-old won on home soil with a total of 297.9 points just hours after clinching gold in the opening event a day earlier. Switzerland's Gregor Deschwanden snatched silver from Andreas Wellinge, after the two athletes posted the exact same distance of 146.5m in their second jump.

Germany's Karl Geiger made it two from two as he claimed his second Ski Jump World Cup victory in Klingenthal.
The 30-year-old won on home soil with a total of 297.9 points just hours after clinching gold in the opening event a day earlier.
A jump of 141m placed Geiger in the lead after the first round, following up with 141.5m on his second jump to clinch gold.
Switzerland's Gregor Deschwanden snatched silver from Andreas Wellinger after the two athletes posted the exact same distance of 146.5m in their second jump of the competition to rocket onto the podium.
Victory confirms Geiger's third place in the overall standings, now just 27 points away from teammate Wellinger who sits in second.
