Fire alarm halts play between Selby and Asif in International Championship qualifier

Judd Trump is out of the British Open after a shock second-round defeat to Hammad Miah, while Neil Robertson was eliminated by Si Jiahui.
Despite leading 2-1 and 3-2, the 2019 world champion Trump was taken to a deciding frame and black ball decider.
A poor safety shot from Trump opened the door for Miah who took full advantage to book his place in the last 32.
The 30-year-old, whose highest finish at the British Open came in 2021 where he reached the last 16, admitted his delight having won the match.
"It feels amazing," the world No. 113 said. When questioned on what was going through his mind when he made the winning pot, he added: "If it goes in it goes in, if it doesn't so be it."
The Englishman booked his spot at Cheltenham after claiming a 4-3 victory against Zhou Yuelong during the qualifiers in August. Yuelong sits 86 places above him in the rankings, and it seems Miah's excellent form continued on Tuesday.
He claimed the first frame with a devastating break of 126, missing the black for a total clearance. But Trump hit back with a 125 to secure the second exchange before taking the third, leaving Miah 2-1 down. But the man from Hertford rallied, levelling at 2-2, with Miah scoring 101.
It had been an excellent start to the match, with both players accumulating a pair of tons in the first four exchanges, but things became a little more cagey in the fifth frame.
A miscue followed, with Miah leaving his opponent a nasty cut-back, but Trump was not tempted to risk anything, stepping back to play a fine safety. Miah returned to the table but couldn't squeeze a red past the blue to the yellow bag, in what was one of the longest frames of the match, with both players eventually agreeing a re-stack.
Judd clinched the resulting exchange, going one up with only two to play, but it was here that Miah showed his nerve.
Despite a loose shot, the 30-year-old coolly dispatched a pressure red, before a run of 39 saw him square things up at 3-3 (68-42) and set the match up for a nail-biting decider.
And he would hold on to win the tie, ending Trump's unbeaten streak in deciding frames this season, with Miah nailing a pressure shot on the deciding black ball to clinch the final frame, sending him through to the next round at the British Open.

Si claims resounding victory over Robertson

In the second upset of the day, world No. 30, Si claimed a landslide 4-1 win over 2010 world champion Robertson.
It was a fine display from the 21-year-old, who wrapped up the victory with a ton to move past the world No. 6 and book his place in the next round of the tournament.
After a couple of visits to the table, Robertson took the first frame, with Si ending a break of 11 prematurely before Robertson secured a streak of 59 that helped him on his way to taking first blood.
A scrappy second frame followed, with both players opting for safety on several occasions with momentum swaying in either direction, before Si levelled the scores.
It took 33 minutes to complete, but Si bounced back in the third exchange, and despite giving Robertson slight hope towards the end, he claimed his second frame of the match to go 2-1 up.
From there Si, whose highest finish at a ranked tournament came last season where he was knocked out at the semi-finals of the World Championship by Luca Brecel, turned up the heat, clinching an 88-57 win in the fourth frame, before scoring 107 to claim a 4-1 victory and book his place in the next round.
Meanwhile, Mark Williams will also advance to the second round of the tournament after he bested Stephen Maguire 4-2.
The Welshman got off on the right foot, claiming the first frame before his opponent levelled.
The three-time world champion would pull ahead again, winning the next two frames, building a commanding lead at 3-1.
Maguire got one back to cut the deficit, but it was too little too late, with the 2021-22 British Open winner sealing the match with a 66-6 victory in the final frame.
Elsewhere, David Gilbert claimed a 4-3 victory against Lyu Haotian to book his place in round two, while Fergal O'Brien rallied from dropping the opening frame to defeat Noppon Saengkham 4-2.
