Second session

China's Ding Junhui tore former champion Mark Williams to pieces in a 13-3 victory that put him in the final four at The Crucible with a session to spare.
Ding had built a 6-2 lead over the veteran Welshman in the opening session, and was in irresistible form in the second session on Tuesday evening as he allowed Williams just one more frame in the match.
Williams scored just six points in the first four frames of the final session, while Ding made frame-winning breaks of 109, 52, 95 and 73.
After the interval Williams tried to battle back into the match, claiming the 13th frame to slow Ding's progress.
But the world number 17 - who also made the semi-finals in 2011 - turned it back on, claiming the next with a 68 and then out-fighting a still-game Williams 68-44 to close out the match with a session to spare.
Ding will face another veteran in the last four as he comes up against either Alan McManus or John Higgins.
Frame-by-frame scores (Ding's scores second): First session: 68-30, 44-79 (74), 35-64 (55), 71-15 (70), 2-62 (58), 23-78 (53), 17-83 (54), 50-74 (74); Second Session: 0-109 (109), 6-73 (52), 0-95 (95), 0-73 (73), 28-73, 13-69 (68), 44-68

First session

Ding established a comfortable 6-2 lead in the first session, but things appeared to be keenly balanced for the opening frames.
Williams took the first frame of the session, Ding hit back to take a 2-1 lead, and a Williams break of 70 levelled the scores going into the mid-session interval at 2-0.
Ding then raced away from Williams, taking four frames on the bounce, with a break of at least 50 in each frame, and an eighth-frame break of 74 a highlight.
