Former world champion Ken Doherty was among the winners in round four of the Australian Goldfields Open as he ended Michael Wild’s impressive run.

Wild had stormed through the previous rounds, catching the eye of many followers with his performances, but he went down 5-0 to the clinical Doherty.
The Irishman was utterly irrepressible as he whitewashed his despondent opponent and secured his place in the next round.
Liang Wenbo, Ryan Day, Mark King, Michael Holt and Anthony Hamilton were among the winners on a hectic Friday evening schedule.
Marco Fu and Jamie Cope are among those in action in the late evening session.
